Prayer Of The Day

We just love watching "VeggieTales" around here. One of our favorites is "Madame Blueberry--Thankfulness", and there's a wonderful song in it; but I can't find a video for it. These are the lyrics; and, at the end of each video, there's a bible verse. I think it's a very good reminder especially for us sweepers.

THE THANKFULNESS SONG

I thank God for this day,
For the sun in the sky,
For my mom and my dad,
For my piece of apple pie!

For our home on the ground,
For His love that's all around,
That's why I say thanks every day!

Because a thankful heart is a happy heart!
I'm glad for what I have,
Thats an easy way to start!

For the love that He shares,
'Cause He listens to my prayers,
That's why I say thanks every day!

Prov. 15:27: "He who is greedy for gain, troubles his own house..."

I love the veggie tales. They really are great programs for children and I like them too. I worked for a preschool for a while and we used to watch veggie tales a lot.

thank you for posting that, I have never watch veggie tales, I will get some for the kids now, I had no idea they where that great.

Are you witnessing to people? Is your faith walk growing? Are you talking to God? If you answered no to these questions then you might feel depressed and discouraged. Turn those no's around to yes's and be joyous and encouraged. With God it is possible. All things are possible with God.

I would like to say a prayer for people who are always so bitter and they hate everything and everyone. Please open your heart to what Christ has to offer. He will change you and you will begin to have love for others. I see it all too often in today's society. I believe people are so angry because they are looking for answers in the wrong places. We are to love one another as Christians and I can't ever imagine hating a person. Every one of us were created by a loving father and we are all the same deep down inside but we sometimes make different choices that cause us to live one way or the other. Life is a blessing. Bless one another.

Had a great weekend. Both my girls were here for a visit and since neither of them live here it was a long time since I had seen them. Lord we love our children so much and that is never going to change no matter how old they get. Bless the children Lord all over the world. They are our future.

The message of the cross is a simple one but man tries to complicate it. Accept Christ as your savior repent of your sins and you will be saved. It has to be a heart felt experience but that's it. After that let God lead you in a personnal walk with him. He will guide you and once you are his then you will always be his. It's the best decission you will ever make. God bless.

I know that there is a lot going on in our world today and we tend to worry about things but don't. It will not change anything. I know those words are easier said than done because we do tend to worry but try to spend time in prayer and the word. It will strengthen you. I honestly believe it will all work out. My version of working out involves putting your faith in Jesus and not man. I spend time with Jesus and my faith has grown. I am so blessed in so many ways and I thank God for all that he is doing in my life. He really can be with you in every way.

When I Say, "I Am A Christian"

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not shouting "I am saved."
I'm whispering "I was lost";
That is why I chose this way.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble,
And need someone to be my guide.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak,
And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed,
And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are too visible,
But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches,
Which is why I speak His name.

When I say, "I am a Christian,"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority;
I only know I'm loved.

This poem describes exactly how I feel. I am so grateful for my savior that I can only be humble. I owe him everything that I am. And I intend to serve him for eternity.

I have been so busy for the last couple days re-landscaping our home. Let me just say I am exhausted. I tell you what people back in the 1800's used to have to work hard. I think we have goten lazy these days  Thank God for hard work because it keeps you fit or it could give you a heart attack

God bless everyone.

Hebrews 4
1THEREFORE, WHILE the promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered [today], let us be afraid [[a]to distrust it], lest any of you should think he has come too late and has come short of [reaching] it.
2For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with [c]the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; [d]neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe).

3For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest, [e]in accordance with His declaration that those [who did not believe] should not enter when He said, As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest; and this He said although [His] works had been completed and prepared [and waiting for all who would believe] from the foundation of the world.(A)

4For in a certain place He has said this about the seventh day: And God rested on the seventh day from all His works.(B)

5And [they forfeited their part in it, for] in this [passage] He said, They shall not enter My rest.(C)

6Seeing then that the promise remains over [from past times] for some to enter that rest, and that those who formerly were given the good news about it and the opportunity, failed to appropriate it and did not enter because of disobedience,

7Again He sets a definite day, [a new] Today, [and gives another opportunity of securing that rest] saying through David after so long a time in the words already quoted, Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts.(D)

8[This mention of a rest was not a reference to their entering into Canaan.] For if Joshua had given them rest, He [God] would not speak afterward about another day.

9So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God;

10For he who has once entered [God's] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors [f]peculiarly His own.(E)

11Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].

12For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [g]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

13And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.

14Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].

15For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

16Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Lord I want to say a special prayer for a special mom. She is a very warm and loving person who has brought so much joy to her daughter and she is having a few rough spots now and then. Last night she hurt herself but thank God she is ok. Watch over her Lord and give her the strength to recover quickly. She is one of your children and she has touched me with her laughter now and then. for a beautiful mom Amen.

Oh and mom you'll never be taken off my prayer list

Let's start a book today :)

Hebrews 1 (Amplified Bible)

Hebrews 1
1IN MANY separate revelations [[a]each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets,
2[But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].

3He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the [c]out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,

4[Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.

5For to which of the angels did [God] ever say, You are My Son, today I have begotten You [established You in an official Sonship relation, with kingly dignity]? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son? [II Sam. 7:14; Ps. 2:7.]

6Moreover, when He brings the firstborn Son [d]again into the habitable world, He says, Let all the angels of God worship Him.

7Referring to the angels He says, [God] Who makes His angels winds and His ministering servants flames of fire;(A)

8But as to the Son, He says to Him, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever (to the ages of the ages), and the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of absolute righteousness (of justice and straightforwardness).

9You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, [even] Your God ([e]Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond Your companions.(B)

10And [further], You, Lord, did lay the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.

11They will perish, but You remain and continue permanently; they will all grow old and wear out like a garment.

12Like a mantle [thrown about one's self] You will roll them up, and they will be changed and replaced by others. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end nor come to failure.(C)

13Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand [associated with Me in My royal dignity] till I make your enemies a stool for your feet?(D)

14Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?
