Prayer Of The Day

Father bless our children and keep them safe. We know they are precious in your site and their innocence is something we should all strive for. Your word tells us we should become like children and have faith like they do. We should teach our children about you and train them up in your ways. They are our future and they are a gift from you. Every child deserves a life filled with joy and happiness. Thank you Lord for my babies Amen.

Let us lift up the name of Jesus. He is Lord of all and he is worthy of our praises. Hallelujah to the most high God. Whenever I am feeling like I am not at peace I will start to praise him. It works. Just try it sometime. When you are struggling with anything start to praise his name. He is such a awesome God and his comforter will come and comfort you. The Holy Spirit is there for you. Christ told the disciples he would send the comforter and he is there for us when we need him. Amen and Amen.

I would love to be able to put down in words what I feel for God and who he is but I am just not that gifted. I often sit and start to let my mind wander about the relationship I have with him and words will come to my mind but they are just not even close to what my heart feels and my soul knows deep down inside. Nothing I can express can say how beautiful he is. I honestly don't think our mortal minds can grasp his beauty. It's a deep down overwhelming sense of feeling truly loved by someone that you know wraps his loving arms around you and lifts you up from your lowest moments. And yet this isn't even close to discribing the love he feels for us. Take a deep breath and inhale the strong sense of his presence. Take in the life force that gives you confidence to be all that he wants you to be. Let him overtake you with love Amen.

Father I lift up to you an SA members needs this morning. You know what to do in any situation and I pray for a good outcome. You're a loving father and you care for all of us. There is no respect of persons with you because we are all equal in your site. Be with this family in their time of need Amen.

My prayers go out to the people of Australia this morning. There is so much loss of life and it's heartbreaking anytime our loved ones are taken from us before we think it is their time. I know that God is in the midst of tragedy and he will comfort the mourners. Father we thank you for being with us in times of trouble and we have to put our trust in you. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Again today more natural disasters to pray about. Tornado's in Oklahoma and the loss of life. It does seem that these disasters are happening more frequently and more fiercely. Jesus warned us of this in the last days. I pray we are prepared to meet our maker as the days draw nearer. Do not grow weary nor faint in these last days. Hold firm to your hope of Christ's return. It could be today or it could be 10 years from now but always look up and be ready for your redemption draws near.

I will walk by faith and not by sight. Over the years I have had to just walk by faith. I realize how difficult that can be in stressful situations but when we let go and have the faith to believe things have a way of working out for the best. It takes spending time with Jesus to grow your faith and it is something that we must do all the time. Just let go of what is troubling you and give it to God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We can't see the end result but we hope for a good outcome. Start to grow your faith Amen.

Father I ask that you help the family members of this awful plane crash to cope with the loss of their loved ones and also for the small community where this all happened. It's just so sad after a miraculous plane crash a few weeks ago and this time the complete opposite. We don't know why some live and some die but we still have to believe that God is in control. Now is a time for mourning and prayer.

May you always be with us and may we never turn our backs on you. Lord I humble myself and pray for this country. Let us turn from our sins and have your protection Amen.

Galatians 5
1IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].
2Notice, it is I, Paul, who tells you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no profit (advantage, avail) to you [[a]for if you distrust Him, you can gain nothing from Him].

3I once more protest and testify to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation and bound to practice the whole of the Law and its ordinances.

4If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing).

5For we, [not relying on the Law but] through the [Holy] Spirit's [help], by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and good for which our righteousness and right standing with God [our conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action, causes us] to hope.

6For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

7You were running the race nobly. Who has interfered in (hindered and stopped you from) your heeding and following the Truth?

8This [evil] persuasion is not from Him Who called you [Who invited you to freedom in Christ].

9A little leaven (a slight inclination to error, or a few false teachers) leavens the whole lump [it perverts the whole conception of faith or misleads the whole church].

10[For my part] I have confidence [toward you] in the Lord that you will take no contrary view of the matter but will come to think with me. But he who is unsettling you, whoever he is, will have to bear the penalty.

11But, brethren, if I still preach circumcision [as some accuse me of doing, as necessary to salvation], why am I still suffering persecution? In that case the cross has ceased to be a stumbling block and is made meaningless (done away).

12I wish those who unsettle and confuse you would [[c]go all the way and] cut themselves off!

13For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for [d]selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.

14For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is [e]complied with in the one precept, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.(A)

15But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another.

16But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

17For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

18But if you are guided (led) by the [Holy] Spirit, you are not subject to the Law.

19Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,

20Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),

21Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[f]that can bring a charge].

24And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

25If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit [g]we have our life in God, let us go forward [h]walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]

26Let us not become vainglorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another.

Not really a prayer today but just a thank you to all our past presidents. Rather we agreed with them or not this is our country and we are free to acknowledge which party we serve. God bless America.

Blessings and honor are his forever and ever. He is worthy of all praise and he deserves our worship. I can be in the holy of holies by the gift of Jesus death on the cross. He was the lamb who paid the price for all sins. A sacrifice that was once and for all. I will pray to God for all things and he hears my prayers. Blessed be the name of Jesus Amen.

[A Psalm] of David.
1THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident.

4One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.(A)

5For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

6And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me!

8You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].

9Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger, You Who have been my help! Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!

10Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].(B)

11Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies [those who lie in wait for me].

12Give me not up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me; they breathe out cruelty and violence.

13[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living!

14Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord

Psalms are wonderful passages to read when you need to lift your spirit. There is something about the power of God's word to reach to the very depth of our soul. Any matter that you need answers to it's in there. Try it out. Next time you need answers search the word. It's in there. I can not tell you how many times I have been encouraged and conforted through answers to prayer and God's word. He is an awesome God. Praise him with all that you have Amen.

I haven't been in this thread for a couple days and honestly I miss it when I don't post. God is like that. He loves when we spend time with him and he misses us when we don't. I'm in Louisiana again for a few days so I get busy doing other things.

Today I pray for friends. We need friends to be by our side in times of trouble and in times of joy. Bless our friends and most of all you take the time to be a friend to someone else.

Thank you Father for all that you do. I am so glad that I chose you. That is the best thing I could have ever done. Please don't wait if you have questions. He's waiting on you and he loves you. Call on him to be in your life. I promise you it will be the best choice you have ever made.

I pray that everyone would see the truth and the truth will set you free. There is only one truth and he gave all for us. We will make it in this life we live and we will come out on the other side. Put your trust in him.

When we miss our loved ones who have passed on just remember you will see them again if they are Christians. When my grandma was alive and I was praying that she would be in heaven it was hard. I knew she was a good person but I never knew if she had accepted Christ. I would pray that she would be saved. I would interceed for her each day because I couldn't immagine heaven without her. I prayed that someone would wittness to her. She died and I went to her funneral still unsure. Well after the day was over I went to her house and an aunt was there. Out of the blue my aunt says cin I want you to know your grandma is in heaven. God answered my prayer even after she had died. I say all this just to let you know God answers prayer. He is so amazing and beautiful. My aunt had told me how when they were in the hospital that everyone was praying over grandma and she had said the name of Jesus. Wow God is so good. Never forget that never.

I have had several experiences where God has been there. I'm sure a lot of you have had the same things. If you want to share please do. God is so good. Trust him, believe in him, seek him. He is waiting.
