Prayer Of The Day

I think the way the Holy Spirit came upon them was amazing. They had to be able to minister to everyone who was in the area. The speaking in tongues is just one of the gifts offered by the Holy Spirit and I think in most cases it is your prayer language between you and God.

There are gifts of healing and prophecy and teaching and a couple others. We can have these gifts if we ask and I believe they are used even in today.

Father I thank you for all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and I ask that you give every gift that you see fit for me to have. It is my desire to please you and by using these gifts perhaps some will be saved. I am your servant and I will follow you all the days of my life Amen.

This is how I want to start all my days. Do you remember the first time you fell in love with someone and they were all you could think about? When you went to bed at night they were the last thing on your mind and when you woke up they were the first thing on your mind.

That is what it is to love Jesus. He is always on your mind and in your thoughts and he feels the same way about you. We are always on his mind and thoughts.

Now that is love.
 
He walks beside me he holds my right hand he provides shelter for me he Carry's me.

He is my all

I have been at the DRS. office all morning and getting antibiotics for a painfull infection but I will praise God for making it possible for me to get the meds I need and to know even in the midst of pain he is there. That could be physical pain or mental pain but we have to remember he will see us through.

I have a headache right now but bless the Lord I will get over this. I shall sing praises to his name and bless the Lord with all that I am. Last night when I was in a lot of pain I just kept turning to him and asking for help and right now all I can think of is crying may endure in the night time but joy comes in the morning.

Remember to look forward to the morning Amen.
 
It's a beautiful day here in Houston.Not too hot and the sun is shining. Low humidity so that makes me happy,

When I look around me and see the beauty in everything I am a much nicer person. To those around me and to those I come across. There is beauty in everything God creates. Look around you and see.

I remember the first time I thought of Jesus as beautiful. I had always seen him as my savior and as being strong and loving but one day just out of the blue I said to myself Jesus you are beautiful. Like the flowers, like beauty in it's perfect form. It felt odd at first but I knew it was the Holy Spirit revealing another part of a loving God. I just embraced that thought and now I see him for who he is. The most beautiful thing there is.

Be blessed and be a blessing.

Look for the beauty around you.

Today I had 2 very important appointments. I had an excellent report with both.

I am blessed coming in and going out God is so good. Whatever the outcome would have been I would always keep my trust in the Lord. I always say he has never let me down yet.

He is so good and if you don't know him seek him out because he is waiting for you. Amen
 
This prayer is for a very special friend I hope she knows who she is. :love:

Lord be with her in this time of heartache and give her the strength she will need to get through what she must. Give her the peace to know God is in control and he has a plan which includes what she is going to go through. Let her lean on people around her to be strong for her and make the time pass by quickly. God bless my friend and I am here.

If anyone needs confort or encouragement please don't hesitate to ask. What are we if not but people who can help people. Life here is really so short and sometimes it seems so hard but it is in the hard times where we grow closer to God and to each other. I believe God wants us to be a family and to be there for one another. I think that is one of the reasons he created us. So we can know inside we are all the same and we just want to be loved.
 
Today I wanted to talk about forgiveness. I have my own story of having to forgive people and I am glad that I was able to do that withGod's help.

To forgive does not mean you like the way you were treated it just means you let it go and it has no power over you anymore.In my case I had to finally forgive and realize that I don't have to be around that person anymore and that was ok.

The way that I was able to truly forgive was to have Jesus walk beside me and go to that person and say I forgive you. In that very moment I knew I was free. With one person I did go to them physically but with another it was in my mind and spirit.

We have to first forgive if we want to be forgiven by God and now that I have finally forgiven the one person who had control over me my whole life I have peace with myself. This person wants nothing to do with me now but the way I see it is that's their loss. I do pray for them and I hope that they ask for forgiveness someday because if they don't it will keep them in bondage. It will weigh them down and it will steal their soul.

So if there is someone you need to forgive or ask forgiveness don't wait. You will be set free.

• discerning of Spirits
• divers kinds of tongues
• the interpretation of tongues

I believe they are present today. God's word has never changed and these gifts are here for us if we ask.
 
Amazing grace that saved a wretch like me. A very powerfull song and a very powerfull message. The writer of this hymn was John Newton and he wrote the beginnings of the hymn while on a slave ship traveling through a storm. He had converted to Christendom and then he treated the slaves on his ships humanely.

I guess it shows how even in terrible circumstances God is there. He can calm the storms in our lives if we ask. His grace is amazing.

Emotions are what we are made of and who we are so let's use our emotions to connect with one another and it might just make the world a better place to be.

Don't ever give up on God and don't ever give up on yourself.He can be your source if you allow him to. He created you he molded the clay that is who you are. He knew you in your mothers womb. He knows all the hairs on your head.

He loves you let that sink in and believe it completely.

Thanks Tammy as a matter of fact this version was playing on my radio when I posted that day and it just inspired me to write what I did. Although I believe it was God wanting me to write about his grace. God does do that at times doesn't he :love:

I put this song on my Ipod...I just love it so much ~ I have it in my funeral line-up now ~lol!

God has always used music to touch my heart and this one is one that speaks so strongly to me. I am hoping that by putting the link on here that maybe it will touch someone else. It gives me hope.

I get on SA and love to talk ~ but I have been blessed by the friends I have made on this site. God knew that after Momma and Pam I would need an outlet to help me with my grieving process and I believe with all my heart that SA has been the answer to a prayer! I have made true friends on here that I cherish...I just hope that they see God in me! I'm not perfect ~ but I am forgiven!
 
Tammy I think as Christians we hope that we are being a servant and we hope that we will reach some through our example and words. We hope that is part of being Christ's followers. Hoping for his return also.

I'm like you and although I have not met you personally I know that he is in you. I believe God has put something in Christians to just recognize each other. We are all members of the same family.

I have been so blessed to be a member of this site. I have chatted with a couple people including you :) and I feel his presence when I am here.
 
I just want to say prayers again for our brave soldiers fighting for our freedom. They are willing to give up their lives for this country. I so appreciate the courage that someone has when they enlist into the service. I know when they enlist they know in the back of their minds that war could break out at any time but they are willing to serve. Thank you all.

Lord I ask a special blessing over our troops all around the world. They are servants just as you served us. They are willing to give up their lives for the sake of freedom. God bless them and God bless America.
 
Each night when I go to bed I ask Jesus to be in my dreams. I just want to be near him at all times. There's something about just drawing closer to him once you know him you want to know him more.

Father in heaven draw closer to us as we draw closer to you. You are the light of the world and let your light shine through me.Amen

I think as we are approaching an election this year we should remember to pray for our political leaders. We need to pray that God will place the right person in this position to lead this country in a way that is pleasing to him. If we humble ourselves and seek his face he will heal this land. We need to not turn our backs on God the way that Israel did and they paid the price for their sins. We are no different than they were but we have to turn back to his ways. We have to turn from sin or we will be just as they were.Exiled from God. They were the chosen people but they would not obey his laws. Are we any different today? No we are not.

Lord I ask that you give our leaders wisdom and you place in them the desire to obey your laws. Let us turn back to the God of the Bible and heel this land. I pray that whoever gets elected as leader of this great nation will be a follower of you and seek you for answers to our nations problems. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
