Is anyone else having a problem with the pop up ads in the middle of the sweepstakes page the past two days? When the ads start playing, it constantly takes you to the bottom of the page and will not let you move on the page. The only way out is to close the page. I have ran virus scan and restarted the computer. This is the only website it happens on. Any help?

If you're actually on a sweepstakes websites, then any ads are controlled by the website, not SA.

If the ad appear when you're on SA's web site then they're generated by SA.

The only site where I have a popup problem is Pazsaz. They've contracted with Double Click to display a popup ad on their website. I can defeat the ad if I open and quickly close the site a few times before I let it fully load. I believe Double Click has been around for years before Google bought them.

I believe that Double Click controls the majority of popup ads. Bing, Google or use some other search engine for - googleleads.g.doubleclick.net - for more info.
 
It is actually the ad that pops up on the SA website. As an example it is the page that will show 20 daily listings, their will be 5 listings...then a small pop up ad that flashes and then some more daily listings. Does that make sense?
 
I have 5 ads on the 1st page of My Sweeps. One at the top of the page and again after the 3rd, 10th, and 15th Sweeps. There's a final ad after the last Sweep at the bottom of the page. None of them are popups, they are just interspersed between the Sweeps as I scroll down the page. There is an ad for Asbestos Victims which rotates between 3 formats. It's the only one that changes. Non of them impede my scrolling up or down the page. There are 5 more ads on page two which follow the same format.

Are you using Firefox? If so, you might block popups. Click on the 3 horizontal bars - far top right. Then click on options. Next, click on Content in the far left column. Put a check mark in the "block pop-up windows" box.
 
I'm having the same video ad problem on my "My Sweepstakes" page. Darn video starts playing and won't let me scroll down the page. I DO NOT recommend blocking pop-up ads since it may be needed to enter and win sweepstakes/IWG's. Something is wrong with the ad placed here on SA. I see the same video ad right beside your post not allowing me to scroll down this page.

P.S Just installed latest version of FireFox and still have the problem with the video ad not allowing me to scroll down page.
 
SA is protected by a firewall but it's possible that their is a bad advertiser on Google that needs to be blocked. What is the video ( advertiser's name ) ?
 
We believe we found and blocked the bad Google advertiser. Please close your web browser completely and re-open to test.
