UNKNOWN?? Oh gosh- that stinks!!! I hate answering calls like that! You never know what the heck you're gonna get.. I DO have bill collectors calling me at the moment...DARN. LOL

Usually, if you win a contest from a local radio station, they will call you. And they only call once, so pick up the phone. Otherwise they pick another winner. They don't leave messages.
I've received a phone call for a Turtle Cheesecake I won. Delicious.
And lastly, last week, i received a phone call for a trip that i won, and turned down , because it kinda came across like a time share thing, and they also wanted me to put upfront money saying it would be reimbursed to me, it didn't seem very right to me. It's been my experience when you win, your not asked for any money. Everything is paid for.

But, I've won many things without one.
Funny...similar story as one above only a strange actual number kept calling several times during the day...I finally decided that, I too, better answer it or they will keep calling...GOOD THING I DID!....as it was the promotion co. from NBC Sports telling me I had won the Kentucky Derby Lucky U game (in '08)!
So...now I answer no matter who it is.
Just tell sales people to "take me off your list, please". I really haven't had any sales calls from sweeping...except one of those "free vacation" (ie. time share) ones. I use my cell for sweeps.

Thanks everyone for all your responses. I just wanted to share that I rec'd a phone call for the My Name is Earl Karma Kash Sweep win . The name wasn't listed on the caller id, just the phone # which was an 818 area code. I always answer my cell, because it is the number I always use for sweeps and I never get any soliciting phone calls on it (which many people think when you enter sweeps you will get a lot of those calls). Also I guess I did forget for radio wins, I have rec'd phone calls, but I wasn't really thinking about those. Continued good luck to all! :cheers:
