Phone call from Window???

Has anyone else gotten a phone call from someone claiming to be from Windows saying they are getting error messages from your computer that means your computer is being infected by something harmful? The person that calls has a heavy accent and when I asked to talk to the supervisor they also had a heavy accent which tells me they are not located in the United States. I told they guy I thought he just wanted to get into my computer to steal my private info and to never call again, so I just wondered if anyone else is getting these calls.

Yes, DH got them several times a few months ago, so the callers did not get the phone no. from any sweeps. I Googled the number and there were many similar reports. Very annoying!
