I received this email:

CONGRATULATIONS! You were one (1) of 100 winners chosen in the Pack La Crema Sweepstakes.

I looked up the prize:

PRIZE: One hundred (100) winners (a “Selected Entrant”) will receive the following:
• One (1) fifty dollar ($50) credit card gift card (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $50);
• One (1) La Crema branded luggage tag (ARV $12); and
• One (1) gift pack containing small branded La Crema items (ARV $20) (collectively, the “Prize”).
ARV of one (1) Prize is $82. Total ARV of all Prizes is $8,200. ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN ANY PRIZE.

I won the same thing. They require you to fill out a Vendor Form and a W-9 for a $50.00 gift card and $12 luggage tag. Does this seem normal for such a small amount? Giving out your social security number for $50.00? I have until January 13th to respond. Any advice or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
 
Congrats! Yes, I went through similar on a $25 prize. Some have sent back without the social. It sounds like you just have to decide for you if it is worth it or not. I have a company EIN I used, felt a little safer.
