 whoadie WELCOME TO SA!!!

Since you've been a snail sweeper the transition to entering online should be fairly easy, but if you have questions, we cover the usual ones in the various stickied threads in the Newbies forum:

As to notification? It could be email, by phone, or mailed to you - same as for snail, but you need to keep an eye on your email too.

And of course, if they don't answer your particular question, you can ALWAYS ask!!! :sunny:

I wish I knew - I'd win on all the IW's then, lol!!! :crazytongue:

Some do swear by early am/late at night since there are usually fewer playing then - you still have to play at the *right* time though.

You are not winning because the judges and computers are not picking your name.
Some people win all the time because they are lucky. Others not so lucky.
Just follow the rules so you do not get disqualified.
It really does not matter when you enter. What is meant to be, will be. What does matter is that you enter

What works for others, may or may not work for you. Just be patient, persistent,
and enter everyday. Eventally you will win something.

Ways I deal with the frustration of a dry spell:

1} I get outside of my own head by helping others. Either by voting, answering questions, or just getting a little silly. :crazytongue:

2} I avoid the winners circle. It's not that I'm not happy for other members, it's just that I don't need the constant reminder that I'm not one of them - for now. :crazytongue:

3} I hard charge on sweeps, going through all the categories and getting a sense of satisfaction/accomplishment when I get all caught up.

4} I take a break from the computer, since it's gone from being fun to being a chore.

If you keep pushing yourself to enter and things don't change, you will most likely burn out and quit, whereas if you make a decision to take a break for a day or 2, you are still in control.

I *usually* find I return after my mini "vacation" that I'm refreshed and can see things more clearly, so the little things don't get to me, and I enjoy instead of dreading entering my sweeps. :sunny:

thanks for the hints very helpful i'm enjoying just looking at the websites also funny you can win live chickens an d a chicken coop don't like the ones that want you to register with them or get their newsletters maybe e few. like the ones that are straight up name address email done those are the best still new at this don't like publishers clearing house they keep emailing me that i won also hate the ones that say lucky winner today of 1000.00 gift card so annoying

There is no secret! It just takes persistence, patience and consistency to win. Unless you were entering sweeps somewhere else before you joined SA you really haven't been at it long enough to see wins yet. Although I don't know which sweeps you have been entering, you must consider a few things.

1) Probably a lot of what you have entered have not ended yet. You can't win until the sweeps is over.

2) Even if some of the sweeps have ended it somethings takes weeks and somethings a month or more until winner(s) are chosen.

3) After a sweeps has ended and the winner(s) chosen it is sometimes another few weeks or a month or more until the winner(s) are notified.

Just hang in there! You will win but you must give it time. And speaking of time, the IW sweeps are strictly a matter of timing. Sometimes winners are not notified, the prize just shows up at your door or in your mail box.

There have been a few new sweepers that have thought checking off the sweeps check box next to the sweeps listing would enter them ... nope! You must click on the link and fill out the entry form. (I only mention this because I would hate for you to think your were entering something you weren't).

But really, you WILL win! Honest!!! you will you will you will .... good luck!

Thanks I really needed this. I have been at this everyday for 3 months and havent heard anything and I am starting to get down about it. I will hold my head up a little longer now!! :sunny:

Good luck, saraclare1 and deer71us!

Thanks again, Amy and Judge!

You're welcome, and be sure to post in the Winners' Circle when you win!

It may sound kinda nuts, but I keep 2 important things in mind while sweeping:

1} I CAN win, I believe I WILL win, and I'll do my part by entering to win!!!

2} Wanting to win doesn't mean I will for sure win - it just means someone will for sure win what I'm entering for, and it *could* be me!!!

They may sound like they can't both be true, but I know from experience they are - lots of times other people won the prizes I *really* wanted to win, but then I'd win another prize I wanted just as much!

If you approach this as a fun hobby and as long as you keep it light, enjoying the various aspects of entering and discovering new products and services, you'll stick with it!

Hi again, Amy. Thanks again. I didn't see this response until this afternoon....but it sounds a lot like the attitude I am developing. It's all good! I am excited at the potential! :sunny:
