NOT A MIKE"S WINNER EITHER

After reading the post about Mike's Hard lemonade Grill not really winning the grill, I contacted Holland sales and told them what I read and asked whether or not I really won, I was placed onhold for 10 minutes and the lady came back and said "No your not really a winner your getting the consulation prize" Well I am mad beyond mad, because when i first contacted Holland sales on October 7th, they told me a won the scooter and the grill, havent seen either, and Im not gonna see the grill, and very highly doubt I will get the scooter! What makes me the most pissed off is that on October 7th, when I talked to the man at Holland Sales I told him too ,many people where posting that they had won the grill and in my email alone I had counted 15 names and another woman from Sweepstakes Advantage had counted 20 names in her email, I told him that day this was a huge mess, and not all of us had won, could they please look into the matter, and reassured me that Mike's Hard Lemonade was very good at awarding more prizes than they orginally say I made him check and make sure I had won a grill because I couldnt believe I have finally won something! He checked and said "Be assured yes you are a winner of a Stainless Steel Grill from Mike's hard lemonade will guess what IM NOT!!!!!! I feel like such an idiot I bragged to everyone I knew that I finally won a great prize, well I guess the pie is in face and i cant believe Holland Sales at all this is a very big mess up, i told him these ladies on sweepsadvanyage have been sweeping for years, and they said there is noway that many people won, he should have listened then! Thanks for letting me vent

Boy, oh boy, this is really a huge mess for those companies! It seems to me they should have to honor those wins...especially when verbal & written confirmation was given...but somehow they probably have all that covered in their rules. I'm very sorry for your disappointment...I would be highly upset too! I hope a bigger & better prize comes your way very soon. :)

Through the years I have had about seven or eight false wins. Never trust what a regular customer service representative tells you by email or phone. They usually do not have first-hand information about sweepstakes the company is running and will sometimes just make up an answer to your inquiry.

Don't feel bad I won the game 60 of the General Mills grand prize. But even with the screen shot, doesn't matter. They claim I haven't won a thing. Nothing I can do except keep playing. But then again NOT all sponsor's are this way! :cry: I too could sure use the $25000.00

i know how it feels to be given a prize then have it taken back...i know you will win plenty more prizes and they will indeed be worth the wait.

Thank you all for the kind words, I wanted to add that I said to the lady today what about the addy that I had to fill out get noterized and faxed back to u doesnt that count for anything, nope, and I had really thought i had won because of the addy, but guess not! unbelievable

I've been online sweeping for eleven years now. The rule of thumb I've come to live by is "you haven't won anything until you actually get it in your hand"! This way, I won't get disappointed when a glitch occurs. :wave:

Until the sponsoring company (ie Mike's Hard Lemonade) is made aware of these problems, you're at the mercy of the fulfillment company or P.R. firm. They don't want to go to their paying client and tell them they've messed up a promotion/contest. If you get no where with the fulfillment company go to the company that is paying them to get it right and not leave a wake of unsatisfied customers/potential customers that will by word of mouth speak poorly of them. The majority of companies realize the value of a positive experience for their customer and will do what they can to rectify the situation.

If so, this is what they say will happen in a situation like this...

"In no event will more prizes be awarded than stated in these Official Rules. If because of error or for any other reason there are more claims for a prize than prizes offered as stated in these Official Rules, a random drawing will be held among all eligible claimants in such category to award such prize. YOU MUST SAVE YOUR ENTRY CODE FOR PRIZE VERIFICATION, IF REQUESTED B SPONSOR. "

I know exactly how you feel, I was notified about a big win in July ( a trip to Spain) and after a couple of days I was told that there was a computer glitch and they were going to choose another winner. That would be my biggest win ever. I was heartbroken. There is nothing we can do, I haven't stop sweeeping and I'm still hoping for a bigwin. Hang in there and your big win will come! I will keep my fingers crossed... :)
