New to sweeping - need answers

Hi Everyone,

I started sweeping around the end of October, and I have won several instant wins, minor things like bread, and a car wash mitt but I have never received them and I was wondering a few things (first of all I didn't know that you were allowed only one instant win on these contests and continued to visit the sites) The one with the car wash mitt wouldn't allow me to enter anymore so I stopped going there but the bread one
still allows me to go there and play the game.
Now what I need to know, will they disqualify you for continuing to play and you won't receive your prize, and/or will they send you the prize after the game is over? If you don't receive them, how do you chase them down to get the prizes you were awarded? and is it really worth it to chase them down?
Also, when they do allow you to go back, should you continue to go back and keep playing for the bigger prize?

One more question, when you do win an instant prize, how do you verify it, to prove that you actually won? I have been doing a screen print of the win and posting it to a word document and saving it in a file with my other wins...what is the proper way to verify instant wins?

Depends on the sponsor/JA, but MOST will just not count any entries after you won an IW. Some sweeps/IW's are in 2 parts, and the GP (sweeps part) is either a 1x, or daily entry, while the IW is play until you win.

Most prizes are sent out 8 - 10 weeks after the END date of the sweeps.

I've had very few problems with fulfillment, but if you have a problem, look up the expired sweeps and find the sponsor - I have a contact list posted:

I usually drop them after I win an IW, JIC, but many continue to enter for the GP. It's entirely up to you, or as you've learned, the sponsor may prevent you from continueing to enter.

They state in most rules that screen shots are NOT proof. I wait until I get a confirmation # and/or email for proof.

I got the car wash mitt some time ago. Definitely contact them if you haven't received yet. (assuming from same sweep)
 
Thanks Christie- actually I did want to hear that.
I love hearing about people winning major prizes because it is great for motivation but not everyone will win a major prize or at least it will take some time.

I think the key is to keep going at a steady pace until the wins come and then the motivation really kicks in.

I've not received several things from sweeps that I have won. Even after contacting them sometimes I get an answer, sometimes I don't. Some have been decent wins, not big, but things I would have liked to have gotten. I don't know if it is the companies or our mail service. I don't know a way to find out, unless the company actually emails back.
