New Format

OK, the individual sweepstakes links should now change color when clicked.

Changes: I just love everything, except for the Sweepstakes News page. Maybe it's my computer, or not knowing how to work it right (user error), but the title on each page (Mailman Alert, Sweepstakes Winner's Circle, etc.) is REALLY big now, and it "cramps" up the rest of the page (Sweepstakes
Advantage, Winner's Circle, xxxxxxxxxx, ktshome, Today at X:XX am ).

I don't know how to say it in an email. It looks as if (1) the font is bigger than before and (2) right margin instead of left margin?

Except for that, I truly love the changes.

I found the home page to be overwhelming and hard to read. Is there a link to mysweepstakes on it? I couldn't find it.

You also may have to log out and log back in to access mysweeps today. I did and everything was back! :sunny:
 
Ii like the change but when i click on to add to my sweepstakes it doesn't work. it just returns to add to my sweepstakes. hope that gets fixed because they are not going to my sweepstakes.
 
I think there should be a forum and MySweepstakes link among others at the left, a couple of new green link bars. Those two right on top.

I don't think the "writing contests" link is relevant, as there are so few of them. Recipe contests as a link would make more sense, or video/photo contests. Maybe a general creative contests link?

Otherwise, I really like the new color scheme and the colorful homepage. Sharp looking and very nice.
 
If anyone is having problems with lettering or spacing they should clear the temporary internet files on their system, close the web browser and re-open. It sounds as if you are loading half the changes.

The My Sweepstakes link is now called "My List". This was renamed due to new members not realizing what My Sweepstakes was and My List being more recognizable ( not missing, revised) . I never had to logout and back in to access my sweepstakes and can't reproduce that problem. If anyone else is having this problem let me know. The logout and login probably forced a cache refresh and that is why you were able to get in at that point. ( caching problem maybe? )

As far as overwelming goes I really can't understand this. There is less text on the home page now ( our intent ) and the web page is smaller in file size. Please try and adjust your contrast and definitely clear your temporary internet files.

We colaborated with a professional designing company to come up with the colors, text and layout of the site to arrive at a solution that would accomandate all web browser types and system resolutions. We also didn't radically redisign the site "most of the elements and links are in the same places as before" .

Hope this makes sense.

I don't think this is related to the site redesign. I can't reproduce this problem. Please logout/login and make sure javascript is enabled.

We moved the links to my sweepstakes, new sweepstakes, forum and others to the left side green navigation bar. They are the first ones in the list. We may change the text color for the categories on the main page to make it easier to read.

Just put the new links in the green nav.

No. I couldnt save mine this morning. I was really hoping it wasnt a FF issue. I love FF and would hate to change it. I havent tried with a different browser yet. Whats a good one if I cant use FF. I hate IE

Its working for me in Firefox. What section are you in when using the "add to my sweepstakes" ? Maybe its the code for just that section...

I see its only the new sweepstakes sections and firefox. Working on this now.

Ireally like the new format it allmost jumps out at you The color is unique and the whole site just looks brand new.How could you really go anywhere else I,ve only been a member for a few years and this site has changed in the last 3 years But it,s great.
