Need help what would you do???

I sent everyone who posted here a PM to let you know the thread has been moved here.

We are keeping the Winner's Circle for basic wins only, with no strings, questions, or up-for-grabs attached!

After doing the above, I found that there already was a thread in Q&A on this same Trucker Path email, so I merged both threads and sent a PM to the people who had posted in that thread (bonniesawinner, greenbaybe, laganesante) so things may look a little weird. If your posts are duplicated it is because you posted in both threads, and if they appear out of order, it is because they get listed chronologically when they are merged.

Thanks i only have access with the winners circle from my phone but hopefully by summer itll be fixed. Here on the site for mobile users it is getting better though i can comment now lol
 
I got the same email :/ More than 60 emails! I don't think all of those are iPads hahaha Maybe T-Shirts :P

I received the same email. Looks like they decided to amend the rules after the contest expired. Regardless of whether their intention was to limit eligibility to only truck drivers, the rules clearly did not state that. I believe they are based out of CA, so governed by these rules: http://www.dca.ca.gov/publications/legal_guides/u-3.shtml

What could truly bite them in the butt (should someone choose to pursue it) is this: "...cannot represent that the recipient is a winner or has already won a prize or any particular prize unless the recipient has in fact won a prize or any particular prize." The email sent to everyone says "Claim your Win."
 
So what does everyone who got the email intend to do? I'm torn between just reporting it, sending them an email questioning them about the whole thing, or just forgetting about it. Just wondering what others plan to do. Thanks for your input.

Received a reply from them today: It said "Michelle, See attachment" with this being the attachment:

Hi greenbaybe--That was all they had to say?? Amazing. The screen shot is of where they can edit the rules, not what they posted to the public for the contest. I think they are still missing the point despite everyone calling them out on Facebook. iPads for all!
 
I agree...I think what really bothers me is that they are trying to blame everyone for not following the "rules", and not admitting that it was their fault for not making that information available to the public. I replied back with a screenshot of their Mar.12th post on facebook and a link to CA laws about sweepstakes with the same message they sent me "Please see attachments" :)

I think they just assumed that only truckers would use that app, and therefore only truckers would enter - they made the mistake of offering non-trucker prizes IMO!
