Moving

I am moving and i have 2 questions about mail forwarding that I was hoping someone might know the answer to since I can't find answers on the USPS website anywhere (this is the second time I've moved and have tried to figure this out). Luckily my roomate will still be living here and I'll only be 20 minutes away should a surprise win show up. Or one there the sponsor said they would send it to my new address and it somehow winds of up at the old one

How long is mail forwarded for?
Are packages forwarded (obviously this only applies to those sent via USPS not fedex or UPS)?

If I remember right, forwarded mail by USPS goes on for a year.

But, if this is the second time you've moved in a year, I think you'd have to call them or visit them (I know, I know - you have to wait, wait, wait.....).

I don't know what their rules are for packages. I think they are the same (1 year), but I don't know.

Does this answer at least one-quarter to one-half of your question, or did I make it "clear as mud." :crazytongue:
