Moving with no new address yet

I have been entering sweeps for years and have lived in the same house for years. I am going to be moving and do not know my new address. Anyone else go through this? How far in advance do you change your info? I am thinking of using a friend's address, so I don't miss wins. My fear--one Christmas I received a DVD player out of the blue--no email, or letter before hand that said I won. I looked up the sweeps and it was almost a year before that I entered! Some companies take their own sweet time mailing out those wins!

I just went through this same thing (only been living in the new house for a month now). Luckily my last home was in an apartment community (& just across town) & the management office is good at calling me if a "surprise" package arrives.
As soon as I found out my new address I started using that when entering sweeps.....if you get a winning email, its easy to tell them your new address.
You could mention to the people that will be moving into your old house or landlord, that packages might arrive & to call you (since Fedex & UPS) don't have forwarding services.
There isn't really any way to ensure that you will get everything, just hope that if someone got a package in your name.....that they would do the right thing.
