MOC sweeps

How do you pick a winner on the MOC sweeps? The one-time entries and the 1x day entries? If I ever have anything worth giving away, I would like to host one. How's it work? :scratch: Thanks!

I held one where people had to guess from my past posts of wins, which ones I was giving away - the 1st correct post(s) (of the 3 or 4 prizes) won. It was fun.

The only thing I'd stress is be VERY clear on your rules. I did have a little problem with someone who thought I wasn't sticking to what I posted because she didn't realize I am on PST, and the 1 entry/guess a day was on MY time, just like ANY sweeps!!! :nono: :laughing:

:sunny: I believe that most people running the MOC use Randomizer to select the winner unless the contest is asking for a specific answer. It wouldn't be much of a contest if the member hosting it could just decide willy nilly who they wanted to give the prize to.

I have my daugther pick whenever I've run a MOC

I have only done 1 x since I write the post numbers on a piece of paper and throw them in a hat and have my youngest draw. He likes doing it.

Thank you for that definition--I was also confused, and now I will go enter those! I love this site! I wish I had more time to post and read all of the things on the forum--it's all very interesting. But even as I speak, my daughter is upstairs very much done with her nap.....

I have never used a randomizer (although I should). I pick a number by random and check to see if they followed my MOC rules or I have one of the kids pick, etc.
