Missed Fed Ex delivery, Do I forfiet prize?

Fed Ex tried to drop off a package earlier this week that needed a signature. They left a "first notice" on my door. I called yesterday to find out the status of the package and it said it would be delivered here today. Then I called this morning and spoke to the customer rep who said it had been recalled by the company and was being returned to the sender. I said that didn't seem fair that there was only 1 delivery attempt and the rep said that often these companies only give it one try then recall the package. As far as I can tell, I think it was either my son's Spiderwick win or his Indiana Jones pc/shirt win. I tried calling the phone number of Meade Johnson company that Fed Ex provided and got a voice mail and left a message, but I'm guessing I won't get a real person to speak to me. Has anyone run into these before with either of these contest or another one and do I have any recourse or has my son lost his prize? Thanks SA!
 
I can honestly say I have never run into that before. Every time fedex has missed us, whatever it is has been delivered later. :scratch: I hope this is resolved.
 
I just got a call back from the number I called, amazingly enough! It was actually my Enfamil travel pack prize and they are going to re-ship it. I was pleasantly surprised to get a response and as a bonus, the formula will arrive before my guy turns 1, so we can actually use it! Hopefully they will try more than one time if needed this time.
 
glad it worked out. I have never heard of them only trying once. maybe you have a lazy driver. :laughing:
