sexykarrie,
I also saw your post in Comments...
"OK so I was also told I won a cruise and I received the e-mail in my junk box but it seems a little fishy. I'm going to call the 800 number. Any one else get the same reply? The email was vary weird "
...so I looked up the Official Rules. You should always read the rules. Here's what they say:
"6. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: One (1) and only one Grand Prize of $50,000 is available to be won. Odds of winning the Grand Prize are 1:10,000,000. Except where prohibited, potential winner must sign and return within ten (10) days of attempted notification, an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her prize. The Grand Prize will be paid in the form of a check, which shall be sent to the verified winner via certified U.S. mail within five business days of verification of the win and winner's eligibility. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Non-Winner Sponsor-provided consolation offers include Free Bahamas Cruise Certificates for 2 (requiring payment of port charges and government taxes) and/or Visa gift cards limited to sponsor's availability to provide, while supplies last."
I think the key words are Non-Winner and offer. You will need details about the "offer" and if you have to pay for the "Free Bahamas Cruise" or purchase something else (like a time share, or listen to a time share sales pitch, for example) in order to get the free cruise certificates, then this is not a real win. For a real win, there are no strings attached.
While it may be disappointing, it is a way of learning. Be careful, find out more. Try doing a Google search and see if anything comes up.
