Mail in Sweeps - Do you do them?

Now with mail being 0.74 cents (I remember when it was only 34 cents!) - it doesn't seem that economical to enter sweepstakes by mail (or at least not a lot)! What are your views on it?

I still do. I won twice. Once a wonderful Superbowl Trip (more than pays for the postage I am using). Once for a trip and $10,000. Got all the paperwork turned in and was announced the winner. The Theater sponsoring the sweep called and asked me when I stopped by their theater and I told them the truth - I entered via amoe sweepstakes. They immediately said I cheated and took away the prize. :( bummer.

Those are great prizes! I'm sorry about the one that was taken away. Totally not fair if that wasn't stated in the rules.

I'm just starting to do sweeps and was wondering if I should buy some postage to do some. But it doesn't seem to be the best use to enter it since so few seems to win from it.

I've never won any, but I do occasionally enter. I only enter prizes I really want. These are usually very large like a car or cash. As I go through entries, I save them to my Mail In category folder. When I have time, I will go into that folder and fill out a bunch of them all at once. It is an extra step, but when the company requires a purchase or mail in, and its a one time entry, I feel like I have as good a chance as any to win. :)
