Does this mean my postcard has to be put in an evelope, then stamp the envelope and put that in the mail? Or if I use the paper entry, that one has to be put in an envelope? thanks all

(ii) hand printing your name, complete address, phone number (area code included) and date of birth either on a postcard or on a separate piece of paper no larger than 8½ x 11 inches, and mailing the postcard or paper in an envelope with proper postage affixed to:

yes put either a postcard or paper in an envelope with the right amount of postage with that info they ask on the postcard or paper.

can the piece of paper be any size? like example: smaller than a 3x5? I cut up a bunch of little pieces of paper and wanted to use those...

by the way this is worded I would use a piece of paper 3x5 to no larger than normal printing or legal paper size of 8½ x 11 inches.

it would have been easier to just use the regular paper size of 8½ x 11 inches. no work involved!

i wanted to know if you guys think it would be ok to use a mail machine on this type of rule or is a "real stamp" needed?????

... thanks for all the help.. sorry i have so many questions on mail-ins

mailing the postcard or paper in an envelope with proper postage affixed to:

Limit one (1) entry per stamped outer envelope. Mechanically reproduced or hand-stamped entries or mailing labels or entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process will not be accepted. Incorrect, illegible, and incomplete entries are void.

That has nothing to do with the stamp.

They are talking about using a rubber stamp or address lables instead of HAND WRITING your name and address.

Go buy a pack of 3x5 cards at the dollar store.

The rules strictly state "piece of paper". That Sweepstakers Handbook I bought said to go by what the rules state. The rules in this case don't say cards... it says postcard or piece of paper.

I finished then yesterday and just need to put postage on them...

This is another example of badly written rules. Most of the time when they say postcard mailed inside an envelope they mean a 3x5 card and just don't know what to call it.

Since this sweepstakes rules call for postcard or paper, I would use either 3x5 paper or card. As long as the rule do not say no metered or bulk mail use your mailing machine.

So fill out your info. decorate or not your envelope run them into the machineand mail them. Then work on the next sweepstakes.

Ps Oh saying "Have a safe trip winning entry" as you drop them into the mail can't hurt.
