Yesterday morning started with a 8 a.m. call from Live With Kelly Show where they asked if I wanted to participate in the Spring Skies Travel Trivia Game. Naturally I said yes. I got a call back from the 2 hours later in order that I could participate in the show via call in. (The show was not live and was being taped for Memorial Day). Kelly spun the wheel and the prize was a 7 day stay at a luxury spa/resort in Miami which included spa services and rounds of golf. However, I got the question wrong and instead won the consolation prize of 5 years of Netflix valued at $500. In reality, I'm happier with the Netflix prize as the taxes on the travel prize would have been prohibitive as it had an ARV of $8200.
Anyway. later in the day, I was called and told I was a winner in the Kelloggs See You At Breakfast Text To Win where you text the shortcode of a participating supermarket near you. Rules say that you must live within 40 miles of the supermarket. I won in Round 2 as the lady told me there were so many people texting these codes that didn't live anywhere near the specific supermarket and were evidently texting all short codes from various supermarkets eventhough they lived nowhere near them. So the prize is a Microsoft Surface 3 tablet valued at $499.
