Random recent story - - My boyfriend and I went camping for the fourth; we were very detailed with what we brought and we had lists to be sure we didn't forget anything. Turns out, when we were pulling out our tent to set it up, we realized that our tent poles were not in the bag. We must not have packed them back up! And we were 20 miles of windy road up a mountain haha! We had to drive back down the next morning (since it was already dark and after sleeping in our car) and buy a cheap tent for the weekend.
