Just Got Back from Vegas!

Just got back from Las Vegas last night/early this morning. I'd won a trip for 2 to the iheartradio sweepstakes Music Festival courtesy of Dish Network that included hotel, flight, and tickets to both nights of the concert. We were also given tickets to the first night's After Party. My husband and I had the time of our life!

We got upgraded to an amazing suite at the Vdara since we had a slight issue with our first room. The first night of the concert was great but as we searched for the shuttle to take us to the After Party at the Mirage, we couldn't find it. When we asked a Clear Channel rep, they sent us off in a VIP Limo! At the After Party, we got into the VIP lounge where we had premium, top-shelf liquor and our own server, compliments of the house! We also literally shared a VIP section with Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Usher (he performed at the party), and Psy. I've got some amazing photos! We met the president of iHeartRadio and ended up scoring tickets to the second After Party the following night.

The second night of the concert, we arrived early at the MGM Grand to pick up our After Party tickets and ended up getting called out of line while we waited to get into the concert venue to have a Meet and Greet with Brad Paisley. Then, we weren't able to find out way out and so a guy that worked at the venue took us backstage, let us look around, and then told us to sit in the front row and watch Pink perform her set before the doors officially opened for the general audience. So, we got to watch Pink practice and interact with her before the concert! The After Party was fun, and included an appearance by Ryan Seacrest as well as Ne-Yo (he performed).

To say we had an amazing time would be an understatement. This was one of the most fantastic wins of my sweeping career! It will surely be hard to beat!

Of course, some other really cool and amazing things happened while we had our run-ins with celebs. But, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... :oP

Thanks so much SA and Dish for this incredible weekend! I may have been awake for 31 hours at one point and got a total of 6 hours of sleep the entire time, but it was so worth it!
 
Wow! That really was a great trip! Hope there is more trips to come for you! Hope I will have a great trip win like this one!
 
Now that sounds like the trip of a lifetime! So glad to hear someone enjoying life like that! Glad you enjoyed it and wish you many more wins!

I'd love to see your photos, shimmieshakes. My hubby and I won substantially the same prize from an Amazon sweeps, but we didn't get to go to the after-party. which may be just as well, since we are old folks and probably couldn't have lasted through it without wilting.

We decided to spend Sunday in Vegas at our own expense, and the transition from the Vdara to the Super 8 was a bit of a shock. It's amazing how quickly one can get accustomed to luxury.

For me, the highlight of the whole event came early: Gwen Stefani and P!nk performing together. Those gals need to do this more often!

I hope all the SA members who haven't yet won any big prizes (I used to be one of those members) will take note of the fact that there's a lot of really great stuff out there, and every once and a blue moon your number comes up!
 
Wow! What an amazing win! Thanks so much for sharing the details. I've won a couple trips, but nothing that included bunches of famous people. So cool!!!
