Anyone else recently receive TONS of travel snail mail in the last week. I get up to like 6 pieces a day. It's mostly from North Carolina and the surrounding area. I'm guessing it's probably related to sweeping but I don't normally enter travel sweeps unless it's for international trips.

It just bothers me because it's just a waste of trees and nice money. If I wanted to take a trip I would go online and do research and MAYBE request a few brochures for places/attractions i was really interested in.

If they've sold my name and address it's unlikely I'll be able to stop it...

Yeas, I've gotten one from almost every state!!! Too bad I dont collect something like that! haha But I give them to my little kids and they like the maps!!!

I get lots and lots of them. They're all from sweepstakes I have entered to win trips; i.e. Vacation Fun, etc. In the rules or on the form page, it may state that by entering you are agreeing to receive this kind of material. Everyday, when my husband brings in the mail, I stand by the garbage can while I go through the mail and just toss all the junk.

Yeah, you get those from those sweeps that have the fine print that says you are agreeing to receive material from all 69 of their sponsors. Personally I don't mind getting stuff via snail mail ... gives me something to do on these rainy days here in NW Washington state

:crazytongue:

Not travel info but, I am about sick of the catalogs I keep getting from companies! I swear I get 1-5 per day.

We do not have a recycling center so I usually use it to cover tables when kids paint or whatever and line the bird cage.
