Not only for turkey farts but also for the unfortunate results of sauerkraut ingestion!

.... not suggesting that tharedhead's cabbage should be grated, salted and left for a month to rot in a crock. Nah. But her picture did bring that to mind. :crazytongue: :crazytongue: :crazytongue: :crazytongue:

Interesting isn't it. what is considered a double standard. I think I fit quite well in the fair game topic. I believe I meet at least 10 of them. I'm not rich though.

There really isnt a way to say what is offensive.. its subjective. I think Family guy is the funniest show ever.. why? because it is so "offensive".. people take themselves far to seriously. from red's link...
Generally speaking, you can get people on progressive blogs to laugh at jokes in the "Fair game" category even if they're overtly mean-spirted. Is this simply a case of applying a double standard to groups that we consider oppressed versus groups that we consider to be misguided?
For most people thats it.. another cool link red.. thanks.

However there is another side to this issue.

If you look at the other side of the blogosphere the columns are reversed. Is either side on higher ground? Especially when you consider the abuse we heap on George W. Bush. Why is it justifiable, because we disagree with him? Because his actions have consequences that we dislike? Does that give us a free pass to joke about his alcoholism? There may be a valid distinction to be made, but I'm having trouble seeing it.

Also in the post. I think the bottom line is we all really can be offended by different things. It probably has something to do with whichever blog you read.

I do agree people can take things too seriously. Like religion and politics for instance. But that's what makes the world go round. What I may find offensive someone else may not and visaversa. It could come down to being hum politically correct and being considerate of others. Of course this is all just my humble opinion and you know we all have lots of opinions no doubt.
