Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem. I play mostly instant wins and play every day. I use to win at least 3 or 4 times a week. Nothing big, but at least a couple of $100 prizes a month or so, and the other stuff small and $25 to $50. I really was lucky and having a ball. I had been doing this for about a year. Then in the last 3 months everything suddenly slowed way down. I am lucky if I win 3 or 4 times a month, and nothing over about $25. I have even got as silly to think maybe my new computer is unlucky. lol And to think I use to laugh at the people who brought lucky charms with them to play bingo, and now I am looking at my computer like it is cursed. I am definitely losing it. If I see one more sorry try again tomorrow I think I will go running from the house screaming. lol :crazytongue: Has anyone else who plays instants had this sudden stop in winning?
 
No it's not just you...I started playing the IW's a couple of years ago and have won my fair share of nice prizes...IMHO...I just think there are now many more people playing than ever before...thus making the chances of winning even slimmer...This has lead me to now start doing more on the daily entry sweeps...No wins on just the sweeps as of yet...However I have only been doing them for a little over a month now. Thought I would at least give the daily sweeps a shot being the IW's have slowed down...I don't think your computer is cursed at all...Don't throw in the towel just yet...When you least expect it a win will come...Some of the IW games don't have alot of high-valued prizes associated with them either...Best of luck to you in 2008 :)
 
No, its not you guys , I am either in a slump but, I am beginning to think that instants are more tougher to win, I have been really sweeping for 6 months and was doing pretty good with instants but they have really slowed down, I have tried playing at all hours from midnight to all different hours of the day nothing, Also, I have not won anything this year or this week and I, use to average at least 1 or 2 wins a week nothing, I dont even get winning emails anymore nor do, I get surprises by mail. I believe with all of the publicity we are getting a lot more people but not a lot more prizes. But the odds are still there some are who are a lot more luckier than others, and also dont forget winning still comes in spurts a lot of times , I'm trying to enter more sweeps espically one entries, mega sweeps and still hanging in there with my instants. I hope 2008 is my year to win a 42 inch television that is my goal. GOOD LUCK AND DONT GIVE UP.
 
Yesterday won three times. First, the popcorn in the morning. Then when I came home from work I saw I won $1,000 in the Glad daily. Also last night I won a $100 Ticketmaster gift card from an instant.

My secret: I seek out and list sweeps for the site which brings me good winning karma. Try it, maybe it'll work for you.
 
No it's not just you, I cant win anything. Not the instants, dailys, weeklys, monthlys, or one entry. Driving me crazy because I used to win at least a few times a month. Ready to throw in the towel and quit here. I dont think my computer is unlucky -- it's me :crazytongue:. Tried putting on a lucky hat and thinking good winning thoughts and nothing not one little win :cry:. I cant stand it. Was thinking 2008 a new year would change my luck but so far a big fat nothing.

same here can't win anything on the instants. I have been doing this for alittle over a year and started out winning every few days or at least once a week on the instants . Now I have't won anything on them except twice in about 6 months or more and that was a hat and a football . I have won a few one entrys though. my biggest prize being a tv. which I hate to complain after winning that. but that was back in april or may of 07. my win lately have really been next to nothing. I find myself skipping the instants alot.
hopefully our luck will turn around soon.

yep. they have been stingy lately. :nono: I havent been wining on them much at all. I think two in the last two,three weeks. keeping my fingers crossed for a good win.
 
So far, today, I won a free microwave popcorn earlier from Blockbuster; and I just won a gift basket from Glad on the instants. :headbang:

LIDADARKSIDE would you please throw some of your luck my way, lol You must be in a good phase right now. I hope everyone gets there and we all win big and lots in 2008. :sunny:

My wins are less frequent, but I spend a LOT of time helping Pam (ppriebe1) with sweeps (I also add some when my eyes aren't jumping all over the place!!!) and I just haven't been entering like I used to because I have been gambling and winning - yes, WINNING for a change, lmao!!! :crazytongue: :laughing: :headbang:

I think sweepyhead has it right - direct your focus to adding sweeps/helping other members, and enter your sweeps with a positive attitude, then forget them and move on. Don't focus on just one category (like IW's) or ignore a category because you haven't won from them (like 1x's/IW's) because you NEVER know when or what will hit for you!!!

More sweepers means nothing to me - I've been hearing that for years now - they don't really affect how/when I enter, so I don't even worry about them :laughing:

Just repeat the sweepers credo until you BELIEVE it:

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize :laughing: - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else.

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!! :cheers:

You have to surround yourself with positive energy. The best days I have are the days that I have done some random acts of kindness. Taking a sack lunch to the guy bumming money on a corner, tipping the gas station attendent even though the price of gas is high, that isn't his fault, helping an elderly person, taking food to a neighbor, even if I don't win anything that day, I still feel good knowing that someone elses day has been a little better.

Actually, I have never believed in luck. Like with anything I do or enjoy doing, I attribute the positive outcomes to hard work and being blessed from above when I deserve it. :sunny:

Truly I agree, I tease about luck and cursed computers, but I know it all comes down to hard work and the blessing of God, The second way more then the first, although I strongly believe allot of hard work never hurt anyone. Except early in the morning before my coffee, lol Sweeping is a hobby for me and it is fun, but I would like to start winning a bit more again. Guess I better get busy entering and quit complaining. And yes I do enter allot of different categories, and really believe you get what you give. So good luck to all and I hope you all a thousand wins
 
I cant win anything ughhh. Maybe a win every three weeks. I think we should stop referring people. Ok Im being greedy. But the more referrals, the more competition.. :cry:
 
I haven't won nothing for the new year (I got a big envelope in the mail last week, got all excited, opened it up , and it had 2 Dr. Seuss pencils with a poster inside, I think it was a freebie).
I don't think there are as many prizes being offered as in past, last year, I remember last year with the V8 splash, it was a multiple win contest, I won alot on that one, the Gatorade gave away a million posters, everyone, won at least 8!!!!!!!!!!!but , at least there were alot of prizes to give away. I notice alot of the contest lately, have 3 grand prizes, 10 first prizes, 25 second prizes, etc. there arent that many prizes in contests like that (a good example is the Polly Pockets contest. I think there were only 1 or 2 posts from winners. but, I am going to stick with the instants, they've been good to me in the past, sometimes, you just hit a drought for a month or two. sometimes, I notice, the second week in the month is when I receive prizes,

Tiff - you defeat yourself with that kind of thinking!!! :nono:

I really mean it - More sweepers means nothing to me - I've been hearing that for years now - they really don't affect how/when I enter, so I don't even worry about them and you shouldn't either!!! :)

Case in point - Blingo - I won when I first joined (movie tickets) then nada until just after I read what you posted. I timed it right and hit for $50!!! Blingo was new and mostly unknown when I was first using it (and winning) but now? EVERYONE knows about it, and that did NOT stop me from winning!!!

So... keep repeating the Sweepers Credo to yourself, stop worrying about things you can't control, and end that darn slump!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
 
I can honestly say that my wins have steadily increased through the years since I started online sweeping in 1998. I'm always trying to find ways of tweaking my whole system of sweeping to get more sweeps done in less time.
