Wow, whats the prize details?!
WOW! THAT IS JUST AWESOME. I ENTERED THAT ONE TOO. JUST CHECK OUT THE TAX RAMIFICATIONS ON SUCH A LARGE PRIZE. DOES IT INCLUDE SOME CASH TO PAY THEM? :wave:
Heineken said that they pay all the taxes directly to the IRS for me, about $20,000.
And the best prize description I can find is:
Each Heineken Block Party Grand Prize winner will win a block party for winner and up to fifty (50) guests featuring live entertainment, gourmet catering, and interactive activities (the "Grand Prize"). The Grand Prize will consist of Sponsor taking over Grand Prize winner's street of residence (or an alternate venue as determined by Sponsor) for the day. The Grand Prize will include a live musical band or comedy act or local personality (to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to act as master of ceremonies for two (2) hours, a DJ spinning music for the duration of the party, catered food and non-alcoholic beverages for winner and up to 50 guests, a large video projection screen and interactive gaming console. . Each Grand Prize shall take place around Labor Day, 2009, but in no case later than September 20, 2009. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of all of the elements of each Grand Prize is: $50,000 per prize.
But I can't find the rules anywhere, because the sweepstakes isn't posted anymore. So, I guess I have to wait for the paperwork...

Congrats!!!! I won first prize from that sweeps and I remember reading the official rules which stated that the Grand Prize guests all have to be 21 to attend, however, no heineken beer is provided. I remember thinking how crazy not to provide beer when thats the company sponsor. But anyway, I was happy to have won this one. My prize was a $2700 outdoor entertainment system which in Nov. I received a video projector and a 12 foot inflatable screen backdrop. Too cool can't wait till summer to break it out. But I'm still waiting for the 1099. I can't believe they are paying for your taxes that is awesome because I didn't read in the rules that they would. Congrats on your win.
