Make sure to check the sponsor’s social media for any winner announcement posts! Often, the sponsor will make a new post on Instagram or add to their Instagram story to announce who won their giveaway. Likewise, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube sweeps may have announcements on their respective platforms. This is true mostly for particular sweepstakes categories like Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook.Now, not every sponsor is going to post the winners list directly to their main page or social media. Many times, you will have to seek out the information on the official rules page of the sweep after the sweep has ended. You may have to mail away for the winners list if you are curious and don’t see it elsewhere.
Use your Searching Skills
If you are not a Sweepstakes Plus member, you will need to google the expired sweep in mind and find the rules page on the sponsor’s official website. If you are a plus member, you can find the sweep in your expired sweeps list and click the rules link in the listing to bring you directly there.Sometimes after a big sweep ends, I get curious about who won! I’ll admit that it’s usually the HGTV House Sweepstakes or PCH winners with large cash prizes that pique my curiosity. For these huge sweeps that typically have one winner, it is just a google search away. Sometimes, the sponsor will even post a video or article about the winner - how exciting! I hope the winner of the Virgin Galactic Omaze Sweepstakes will talk about their experience in a video. That is one I’d be really curious about!
Email is King
Although winners lists are helpful and provide proof that prizes are being dispersed, but the best way to see if your a winner is to check your email diligently. Sometimes winning emails can end up lost in one of your folders or even in spam. If you think you missed an email, you might have to search and rummage through your spam folder to see if you missed anything.
