How to avoid & cancel MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Re: MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Do you consider Surveys to be part of Sweeps? Do you have any luck with them? I have been through a couple.

Re: MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

Because SA can't list magazine sweeps links directly {their form(s) won't allow a direct link} scroll down to:
"No purchase is necessary to enter. If you'd prefer enter the sweepstakes without starting a trial subscription to {magazine name} or if you are already a subscriber, ***click here.***"

The "click here" takes you to an alternate entry form.

So - Please remember to check If you'd prefer enter the sweepstakes without starting a trial subscription or if you are already a subscriber, click here. **(Contact sponsor if in error you get a subscription.)

Thanks, I even don't know there is magazine sweepstake. Can we post the sweepstake which I like and introduce to others here?

EXCELLENT {as always!} response curmudgeon

Been reading the rules, eh?

Smart move.

“Unique Brand Presentation” is basically the same as “Creative Presentation”, except it usually is used in magazine sweeps. I suggest you Google “sweepstakes creative presentations”. You’ll find many explanations.

Briefly, there are two or more participating sweeps that are giving away the same main prize. There may be smaller secondary prizes for each individual sweep, but there is only ONE main prize.

At award time, one sweep is selected and the winner is chosen from that sweep. If there were 50 participating sweeps and you entered all of them except one and the one you didn’t enter is the one chosen then you can’t win.

If the generic term “unique brand presentation” or “creative presentation is used” then you have no way of tracking down all of the participating sweeps.

Meredith Corp. and Time Life are two magazine publishers. They usually identify the participating sweeps in the rules. You know who they are, so you can enter them all. Very few other magazine publishers follow their lead.

Pick a number and it’s possible that there could be that many sweeps participating in a “creative presentation”.

Personally, I pass on ‘em all unless they list the participating sweeps in the rules.

do not subscribe to magazines

Look for "to enter without subscribing CLICK HERE" link [mouse over the text until your mouse icon switches from an arrow to a hand]

Here's a recent example:
Fill in the fields below to get 1 FREE issue of Woman's Day and be automatically entered for your chance to win. If you'd prefer to enter the sweepstakes without getting the free trial, click here.

The URL address does NOT change but the entry form DOES - If it doesn't? Make sure you allow the site and/or don't have popups blocked

Re: MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

I like the idea of writing "cancel" and putting back in the mailbox. I think I'll begin doing this from this point forward. I guess after three years of entering sweeps and getting things in the mailbox is better than getting calls - which I haven't had yet. I'll be thankful for that!!! Thanks for everyones responses.

I am giving up on the Hearst magazines sweeps all together. I am very careful to check I don't want a subscription I just want to enter the sweepstakes. Suddenly I am getting magazines in he mail I KNOW I never ordered.
