How do you know who sent the "win"?

In the last few days, I've opened up an envelope delivered by UPS (Lancome lipstick), a box from Fed Ex (a Legally Blonde DVD & botle of hair coloring) and a $5 giftcard from Starbucks. The Starbucks card was from Sanyo batteries. They sent me a letter. But, the lipstick & DVD thing came with nothing. I tried to search on the site the expired sweeps using the prize won, but no luck. How do I know what sweeps I won and whether or not they're sending me what I signed up for? I mean, what if the prize advertised was a "years supply" of Lancome lipstick, and they sent me 1 tube? Not complaining...just wondering.

 congrats on the wins. most of the time they send something saying where it is from. If they dont well  just gotta say hey, this is nice. woohoo!!!. The lipstick and the dvd could have come from number of places. ok. maybe this one for the dvd--

Re: How do you know who sent the "win"?

I think you're absolutely right with the Legally Blonde DVD & Sunsilk being from Star Magazine. That's EXACTLY what that was in there. And, here I am thinking to myself, "Wow, good thing they sent me the Blonde stuff, what on earth would I do with stuff for brown hair"...not even remembering you probably had to check a box upon entry. LOL The Lancome lipstick is still a mystery because it's "SOS Pink" lipstick, not the candy apple red as advertised in that other sweeps.

Ok...next question, how did you look that up? Because I was just going to the "expired sweeps" link and typing in a description of the prize delivered, and I was getting nothing on it.

Funny how these wins seem to come in a batch. I've entered sweepstakes on and off for going on 5 or 6 years now. It wasn't until April of this year that I started getting wins. The best so far was a trip for 2 to Las Vegas from The Style Network. They threw in a $3000 Visa Check Card for a Shopping Spree, as well as tickets to see Celine Dion too. Otherwise, it's been Olay moisturizer from Quick & Simple, a $250 Home Depot Giftcard also from Quick & Simple, a $100 worth of Stationary from Crane's (I wrote an essay for their "Letters You Keep" Contest), the DVD & shampoo, a pair of Levi's from Slimfast, the $5 Starbucks card, a $10 Red Robin Instant Win Card, a $50 Instant Win from Hills Bros Coffee, a can of Off bug spray from Womans Day, and that's it. But, for the 4 previous years...there was almost nothing. Nada. Not even a tee shirt! I got to thinking, maybe my address has something to do with it. We moved to CO, and all of a sudden, things start to appear on the doorstep.

I do have to say though my kids are catching on to this. Over the summer, my 10 year old submitted a joke to Boys Life magazine (scouting magazine) and today he got a letter telling him his joke will be in the November issue. He won $2.00 and a "very collectible" (hah) Cub Scout patch. He was very VERY proud. He should keep writing jokes...

Thanks to all for the help!

Did you click on the expired link where it gives you a list? becasue then the search box on that page is only searchable by date.. If you click the expired link above the search box on the main SA page THEN it searches them. Make sense? It changes the button you click on to say "search expired"

Re: How do you know who sent the "win"?

Re: How do you know who sent the "win"?

I wonder if it wasnt the daily giveaway on either Bride's or Allure. I get lots that I have no clue where they are from.
