Hobby or a job?

Do you consider entering sweepstakes a hobby or a job? I consider it a melding of both, as it has been very lucrative for me at times, but too inconsistent to be a job. My name for it is a "jobbie." :sunny:

Both. I make more doing this than I would at a part time job. Im gunna start calling it my "jobbie" I love that

Oh, and don't forget the point-earning sites. I just cashed in points at Memolink for $100 cash and at Creations Rewards for $20 Paypal deposit.

Well, it is a hobby for me but, it's also a way for me to earn some extra $$ or extra gifts for others when I don't personally need the prize.

jobbie. lol. I really wish it could be a job. This would be the first job I actually succeeded in and didn't quit the first two weeks, or get fired.

Hi everyone. I'm new at this, and was just wondering how much time per day most people spend entering sweepstakes, contests and giveaways? Just curious!

Thanks...

When I looked up the word Hobby it said:

Hobbies are practiced for interest and enjoyment, rather than financial reward

I agree......

To me a Job is something that you're getting compensated for....... I dunno ... For me, it is definately a Hobby..... But, to be honest, I'd love to get "paid" for entering sweeps if we're considering it a job on occations.....

That's interesting I've never thought of it that way. Sweepin' does pay better than my day job (I'm essentially a full time volunteer...)but jsut about anything does. I call it a hobby 'cause nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than a winning screen or email. Or my a stuffed mailbox. I do think though that if you approach it like a job and therefore do it with tenacious consistency that you have the best chances. That said I don't always have time to enter consistently and I've still won a couple of big (although not huge) prizes. I'm usually pretty happy with the number of wins I get for the amount of time I put in. I try to remind myself that is a hobby and it shouldn't get in the way of other things. And that it's optional! Sometimes it feels like a chore when I get home from work and I've got countless dailies and instants!

 Some people collect coins, antiques, spoons, etc. I like to think I am a collector of prizes! I collect them and give most away to family and friends. It is a really just a hobby for me with perks!

:sunny:
Love it....jobbie....yep that's what I'm doing. Can't say it's financial enough for me but it's lots of fun. jobbie lolol doesn't get any better than that lolol  :headbang:
