I received a notice that:
This email is to inform you that email address just won you 500,000 and a new 2008 Model Range Rover car in the ongoing Range Rover anniversary promotion draws held today. Contact the fiduciary agent with the contact information stated below. They want my name, address, occupation, present country tel, and marital status. I can't opent the attachment. I sent an email back, saying that. Hope I didn't open a worm or virus.

Please help. I'm pretty sure it's a scam, but I've never seen one like this. :cussing:

I cant say for sure without seeing the email, sender, or subject but it sounds fishy.. words like promotion draws and fiduciary agent scream uk scam. If you really won a sweep they would have your name and addy most likely and they probably wouldn't send an email for a prize that size.

Thanks for you help, I went on line. And lo and behold, another scam. Interesting and new one ( for me). But on the web site, Range Rover lottery, there's a thread about this. Hope this is helpful to anyone else who gets one of these... :cussing:

I am very sorry it's a scam and I hope you win something wonderful very soon. I would scan your computer very well.

I find that on a lot of these fishy emails, if you will scroll clear past the wording and go to the very bottom of the page, you will see they came from England or Singapore, etc. I get tons of those.
