They keep sending me emails saying my subscription request is being processed. I got two of them from Cookie magazine. I checked my passcard and it's clearly marked "no" but they keep trying to shove the magazines at me. Over the past few months I have sent back at least 20 bills marked "cancel."

I got one from Cookie too a couple days ago, but I realized what happened. My entry form had "no" checked, but there is another form below that that I didn't notice before which was automatically filled in when I thought I was just filling in the entry form (didn't see the other form). So, when I did a "fill and submit", it was actually submitting the subscription form below it. So, I cleared that field and resaved the entry form with a force submit.
 
Yeah, this had happened to me when autofilling- I've guess I've suscribed to Domino, Country Living, Redbbok so far.....I have called them and canceled.
 
Yep! Good ol' Hearst Mags. They'll change the entry format, hide that 3rd (or 4th) "trial" subscription option, and sometime just send you their "high quality" mags to ya just because they feel like you deserve it!

Southern Living, and Coastal Living are 2 of my "favorite" piss-me-off-one-more-time-and-I'll-find-my-shotgun subscriptions!

MY first question is WHY would anybody want to subscribe to these 2 stupid magazines in the first place?????

Basically, all they are is a collection of ads for timeshares, real estate agents, and shady development schemes, (YES, I ACTUALLY READ [once] BOTH OF THEM) with poor excuses for articles sprinkled in every 15-20 pages as filler.

If I wanted a prime piece of swampland in Texas, Louisiana, or Mississippi I sure wouldn't pick it out of either one of those mags!

But back to the point .... I set up robo to have one fill for what I call "HEARST MAGS". I base it on the page where they try to hide the subscription opt-in down below. If it has to deal with mags ... it gets the "HEARST" treatment. AND I NEVER "fill-n-submit" anything!!!!

Just about the time you start doing that you will get signed up for everything they print......just because they changed things and they know ya is too lazy to check.

Well, I got my confirmation on my Cookie Magazine cancellation. I have no one else to blame than myself for not checking the whole page before saving the form to Roboform. They respond very quickly to cancellation emails! :headbang: I subscribe to quite a few of their magazines and always have gotten good service from them. :cheers:
 
The bottom part is not filled in and I still got "thanks for subscribing" crap. I will send the bill back with cancelled and screw them if they send the magazine.

They seem to think that going "oops!" and figure that some folks will just pay for it. :cussing:
 
if accidentally subscribed to several of the heart mags, they're just so sneaky about it!

i always got magazines after an accidental subscription in the mail because i unsubscribed online and i guess it takes a while for it to go through, it's kind of stupid on their part to send out magazines without any credit card info before-hand. But i'm not complaining, free stuff is awesome!
 
I've been getting so many magazines and have no idea where they are coming from. One magazine I was subscribed to went out of buissness so they are finishing off my subscription with another one. Then at Christmas my mom gave me a couple of subscriptions as a gift.

Anytime I get a bill, I just mark Cancel all over it and send it back. What I hate is that most of them are not postage paid which means I have to fork out .41 cents and that adds up over time. :nono:

The only good thing is that sometimes there are coupons in the magazines and I love coupons. Those and the perfume/makeup/lotion samples that are in them too. Freebies are awsome :headbang:
