Have companies cut back on sweeps?

Hi I really never post, but I found this thread and couldn't resist. I have been entering sweepstakes for a long time and found sweepsadvantage back around 2005. I would enter loads of sweeps daily and always did the instants. I joined around 2007 I think. Anyway the point being, There used to be tons of sweeps to enter. I can remember entering 6-8 hours a day or more. The daily sweeps would have around 150 or more and hundreds in the one entry and monthy. Now I look at the daily and you see 7, 21, 32. If you see 32 it is always duplicate companies running various sweeps and it seems like the same companies over and over again. Same with the one time, it's always the same companies with a couple of different ones here and there. What happened??????? I know we have the facebook entries now and the blogs and some new catagories, but it is nothing now compared to back then and yes this original post is correct, they have been steadily declining on the number of sweeps. I remember the logo "1000s of sweeps to enter". I don't remember when they had the TV show on about sweepers, but it seems like even less to enter since then, but with more people entering. I can remember winning all the time, really nice prices, I always got something in the mail, or by UPS or Fed x, a winning I did not even no about. Then all the email winning notifications. It just used to be so much fun. Now I feel like "am I wasting my time"?????? I have really cut down on my entering. I still do all the instants daily, and have some daily entries, and do the one time, and I do the facebook but it takes like 1-2 hours to do everything. Far cry from what it used to be.
 
Remember the market crash in 2009 & the recession {depression for many} that we are still clawing our way out of? Sure stocks are up, & the rich are richer, but those of us not rich have had stagnant/lower/no wages since 2007!!!

I was actually amazed they continued to utilize marketing $$$ on sweeps!!!

Plus, remember the DELF {Dell Elf} so many cheaters/freebie types ruined that.
