I got an email stating I am a potential winner in the Cartoon network Ironman contest. Second prize power iron man $19.99. I find it odd that they want a notarized affidavit with my child before I can win the prize. The notary cost around $10.00. Sure does not seem worth the hassle. Anyone else get this? :scratch:

There are several sponsors that require affy's on small prizes. My bank will notarize for free, so check with yours.

Great win! Congrats! Might want to check with your bank they will usually notarize for free. My wife is a notary & the notary says usual charges is $1
 
Congrats! I have seen this happen a lot on smaller prizes although, I haven't personally had to notorize small prizes. I have a bank account and they do it for free, maybe call your bank.
 
Before you are declared a winner, you have to sign off (affidavit) agreeing to the rules first which they may require be witnessed/notarized. That's how it always works if they first require an affidavit.

i didn't get this.. but i did have to have a t-shire notorized about 9 months ago... that was wierd i thought :scratch:... LOL... the things us sweepers do for a win... anywho... congrats on your prize :sunny:
 
i GOT ONE ALSO BUT I DELETED IT SINCE I DONT WANT TO PAY 10.00 FOR A NOTARY FOR A 19.99 PRIZE WHEN ACTUALLY I CAN PROBABLY BUY THE PRIZE FOR LESS THAN 10.00 ONLINE.

the bank I have now doesn't charge for a notary. but, about 5 years ago I belonged to another bank and I had to get something notarized and they charged me $2 even though I banked there! :scratch: How rude!!!!!!!!!!
