Had to forfeit another win

I won a $500 gift card from a local tv station. They require me to pick up the gift card in person by June 30. Between travels, doctor appointments, and other things on the schedule, I don't have the possibility of getting there (an hour-plus drive away) by June 30, so I thanked them and told them to bless someone else with the gift card. I sure do wish they would mail it, but that wasn't an option.
 
Wow - Sorry you weren't able to get there. I would have taken you had you been someone in my life. $500 will come in handy for someone for sure. I hope whoever won they told them they were the runner-up and the winner past it on to them!

That's a shame! I try and read all the rules carefully and I pick & choose what I hope to win. Some prizes sound great, but I wouldn't be able to afford the taxes on cars and vacations! One time in Los Angeles, I was going for secondary prize-basket of goodies (practical) and won 1st prize-tickets to college play and private tour of exhibition in museum. I couldn't get anybody to go with me! LOL So it was just me!

I was out of town when I got the winning email, had appointments when we got back, going out of town again, back for two days with a lot to do, then off to dh's family reunion for a long weekend. Just no way to fit in a trip to Harrisburg by June 30. If they had given me more time instead of just ten days, I'd have said yes, but I just couldn't add one more thing to an already hectic schedule.
 
When we enter sweeps, especially those with long run times, anything can happen between now and the time the winner or winners are announced. It happens. Even with short turnaround times, sometimes, life comes first. That's okay! YOU WON! AND, you will win AGAIN!

Exactly! And someone else maybe needed that $500 more than I do, right?
