Grand prize winner

Hi fellow sweepers

I am the grand prize winner in the affordable healthier eating sweepstakes. Grand prize winner will receive a $5000 visa gift card. Ten first prize winners receive a $500 visa gift card. I filled all the necessary paperwork etc and today received my prize. I received a $1,000 Visa gift card instead of the $5,000 visa gift stated in the rules. Can they do this? Has this ever happened to anyone else.

I've never heard of this happening, and I can't imagine that ConAgra would do something like that intentionally. It totally defeats the purpose of the goodwill that they try to build with a sweepstakes. Get on the phone pronto and give them a call. Hopefully there is some contact info on the affy you filled out.

Hi, Maddie44, and congratulations! That is a wonderful win. I don't know the answer to your question, but for starters, I looked up the listing and the official rules.

Did your winning notice and the affidavit you signed clearly state $5,000? The Visa you received could be a mistake. Have you contacted the sponsor or your contact person? You should definitely let them know that you did not receive the grand prize amount. I hope you can work it out easily. I'm sure others will give you more concrete advice.

 CONGRATULATIONS on your great win! Is there a chance that they are sending your prize as five $1,000 cards? I know someone who got 4 $50 cards instead of a $200 one. I think they break it up in case you want to use some of it as gifts.

Congrats on your win! :headbang:

Did the affidavit say $5,000? If so, I would contact who ever was handling this sweep for ConAgra/Sav-A-Lot to find out about the other $4,000. If the affy said $5,000 then the 1099 is probably going to be for that amount.

Congratulations on a fabulous win!!! Like everyone else mentioned, I would contact the sponsor asap!! Make sure to send them the winning email stating the prize along with double checking the affidavit. Hope everything works out. Keep us posted :sunny:

My mother won a $1000 Stop and Shop Gift Card win and got 10 $100 cards. Maybe they for some reason are doing installments. A phone call will help clear it up. Let us know. Congrats.... huge win!!!!
