Grand Prize Win - Good News and Not so good news

Well. I have to apologize for whining last week on not winning anything for almost a year and entering almost everyday. Today I received a call that I was the Grand Prize winner in the AT&T America's Got Talent sweepstake. I won a trip to Los Angeles, CA well.......... for the not so good news, I live in Los Angeles, CA. Now, the good news, he went on to say that aside from the round trip airfare, which will not be needed, I also received a four night stay at a Los Angeles hotel and tickets to the two (2) finales of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT!!!!! My favorite show on TV!!!!!! I also get car service to and from the hotel to the show. I'm rooting for Skinner to win but there's so much talent this year, who knows? The best part is I also receive $1,000 to offset any taxes due on my prize!!!! YAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!!!, So, I'm sorry for all of you who had to read me whining but it seemed to help me win a big one!!!

Enjoy! Not having to travel and get jet lag, save time etc. may be a good thing. Nice win!
 
Congratulations! I like the idea of a vacation in your hometown! How often would you splurge on a hotel stay near home--it's true luxury! Very happy for you!

Congrats on the win.

I always thought it is funny when cash is given to offset a win to pay for taxes. Since you need to pay taxes on the cash that you are given as well :).
