GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL trip! (facebook win!)

I enjoyed your pictures. I was at the Super Bowl also, courtesy of a win from Febreze. We didn't get in to the NFL experience because we didn't want to wait in that line. We didn't buy our tickets ahead of time because we were having trouble with transportation and when I finally rented a car on Saturday, tickets were not available online for the same day. We had great seats for the game, at the 10 yard line in the 5th row. I was trying to see myself in your videos!

Well, unless you had kids with, wanted to see memorabilia, or wanted to buy souvenirs ... that was pretty much it. They had music and other things, but I could have lived without it. Got some decent priced stuff to bring back home to folks ... nothing you can't get online though (pinman).

Neatest thing there I think was the making of the Wilson footballs. If you don't like lines, you wouldn't have gotten near an autograph either ... in the description of it they make it sound like there will be lots of players with no waiting ... and that is so not how it went. One line, and whoever was up there was allowed to gab away with the players.

Downtown was tough to get around, slippery as all get out ... guess they don't realize water softener salt melts ice too :p All the restaurants had massive wait times and such.

I found the liquor store, train & hot tub that night =)

:sunny: Thanks for posting your pics. Looks like you were having a great time!
Thanks, I did have a great time!

Almost fell victim to selling my ticket for $4000, but had a little voice tell me not to. Then when I got back, read how they (NFL,P.D.) were cracking down on it and had many undercover working the grounds. I sure could have used $4k ... but seeing the game & history be made .... was worth that too.

I'm glad to hear that we didn't miss too much at the NFL Experience. I wouldn't have wanted to wait in more lines after waiting that long to get in. I didn't get any autographs, but I did get my picture with Jerry Rice and Amani Toomer. Amani was on the plane with me on the way down and Jerry was staying at our hotel.

I think the city did a terrible job with the snow and ice removal. I was told they don't use salt at all. We stayed in Grapevine and the first day we were there, you couldn't get anyone to drive you anywhere, no buses or taxis, and no rental cars available.
