As I Watch You Sleep-
I watched a little face sleeping,
Eyelashes fluttering so,
I wondered of the dream you were having,
and if Angles were playing there.
I watched a little face sleeping,
Your little mouth was smiling so,
I hope that you are as happy as me,
holding you in my arms.
I watched a little face sleeping,
making sure of the breath you take,
to watch you breathe and keep you safe,
is all that matters to me.
I watched a little face sleeping,
holding your small hand in mine,
five little fingers on each hand,
as one hangs onto mine.
I watched a little face sleeping,
and as I prayed to myself,
I thank God for letting me
watch a little face sleeping.
Pictures of baby at end of this post
Marques Andrew Franklin! (Marques is pronounced as Markus) He was born March 1st, 3:15pm, 6 pounds, 11 ounces, 16 inches long!
I would like to thank everyone who sent get well wishes to my Dad while he was in the hospital (He is doing GREAT!). And to all my friends who posted good thoughts to me, while I was in Texas to help Mom and Dad.
My Son's trial has been postponed, however the DNA tests have come back, I am a Grandmother to Baby Girl born in October (I have not met the baby or the Mother yet, but am hoping to meet them soon, and I hope she knows I am not my son. I will be the first to tell you my oldest is selfish, irresponsible and sometimes quite the asshole.), as every baby needs a Grandma to spoil them, teach them "cool" things (like how to eat whipped cream from a can by spraying it in the mouth). Not to mention, I have 4 Sons (1 natural, 3 step-sons) and 2 Grandsons...it is time for Grandma to be able to spoil a little girl with lots of pink and frilly things, Barbie dolls and other "girlie" stuff!!!
