For those that enter 600+ sweeps per day

I'm still kind of new to this hobby, and have won a few candy bars and a couple of t-shirts. The one thing I enjoy about this hobby is the "dreaming" of hitting a big juicy prize. I got to say that there are a ton of wonderful people that I've come across on this web site, and that's a prize in itself. Hey, if you want an example of never winning a big prize, just think of us Cub fans.............need I say more?

Well, for sure I am a rookie! I never entered a sweepstakes in my life, played lotto, the horses, etc., until just about 30 days ago. I came by an ad for the Marlboro sweepstakes 1,000,000 prizes sweepstakes and entered it. Then thought I would do a little research and see if there was enough sweeps online to warrant putting time into it.
Well, about a month later, I am up to about 200 daily entries, plus countless one-time entry ones. So far, nothing big, but did win a bottle opener and bag of coffee from Marlboro sweepstakes so far, and I won a Sansa SlotRadio from a blog. On the Coke Sweepstakes.com website, I wont 4 tickets to six flags and a $15 best buy gift card.
Now if I could just win: Bake Me A Wish Cake, a trip for our honeymoon, and maybe just a few million dollars cash, that would be great!!! But will settle for a few gift cards - something each week to keep going. My poor hand has been killing me with the ever rising number of sweeps to do each day.
HANG TOUGH SOLDIER!

Hi tlpounds. I've been sweeping for 14 years and can tell you that you're not alone. For me, it was easier to win before the internet was introduced and your only option was mail-ins from the Sunday Paper and local sweeps. Believe it or not, I recently calculated that I enter 787 sweeps/day on average and 271,536 sweeps per year and in 14 years I have never won a grand prize, a trip or anything that I would consider a big win. Yet I've seen posts of people that won a trip or GP just 30 days after starting. Obviously luck has a LOT to do with it but it's also very apparent that the quantity of prizes per sweeps has dropped off dramatically over the last two years and the duration of the sweeps has been extended much longer. Add to that many more people playing, recession, much heavier advertising of existing sweeps, many more sweeping websites and newsletters, etc....and it's no wonder it's become very difficult to win. I always documented my wins on spreadsheets over the years and as it turns out the more I've been entering, the less I've been winning. Sweeping has been in my blood for years so I doubt I'll ever abandon it all together, however I will admit this is the first time ever that it feels like it's become more of a "chore" to me than a "hobby" and lately the ends certainly haven't justified the means. I will remain optimistic that if I persevere and continue playing long term, the tide will eventually turn. Don't give up.

Sorry to hear that we're in the same boat! One of the reasons I keep on is knowing that OTHER people are winning good prizes and multiple trip wins... I know eventually it's gotta be me! And when I finally do I'm going to take a little break from sweeping (or I think I will - hopefully I'll find out sometime - LOL). Hubby says there's no way he'd stick with it like I have (my $5 Cheerios win today didn't have him jumping for joy or anything - but at least I finally won on Cheerios again, I had even hit a dry streak there!) So, I will keep on keeping on.... everyone sprinkle that dust on me - PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Tlpounds, I promise I will send positive vibes in your direction. I truly hope you, myself and the countless others who have put in long hours and many years of sweeping only to have that "big" prize constantly elude us, have our day in the sun eventually. It will happen.

I was wondering the exact same thing about 'power sweeping' I enter 1000+ sweeps a day, usually, and I really don't win that much. I just look at the odds of actually winning, tho, and I think it's just a matter of luck. In reality you only need 1 entry to win so is it really worth it to enter the daily sweeps every day? Don't know

Daily's pay off better if you are diligent about entering them everyday, because most people will only enter them once or sporadically. So, if you are diligent about entering them everyday, you have better odds of winning. Most of my wins come from daily's.

Do not know how many I enter daily. Takes me a couple of hours each day. Although, over the years I have won more "one entry per person" contests, the grand prize, rather than daily. I have three grand prize trips so far and each were one entries. So hang in there. You never know when that big one will show up. The sad thing is when you win a grand prize and you can not take it for whatever reason. So have a good time and stay with it. If you get tired, just take a break. Once rested, come on back to us at SA. It's a great! Everyone here is great!

I don't have Roboform and I'm sure it would save a lot of time if I had it, but I do okay without it for now. I enter on average 50 per day and one or two good days out the week I will enter about 200 sweeps. I usually enter the IWG's and dailies and win at least one prize a week. Still waiting for the big prize to come in my email or at my door. I'm still trying to win a prize on the Wonka sweepstakes b4 the end of August. Luck really does have a lot to do with winning. Good luck to all and hope someone wins a prize soon! It's good to hear about wins.

This is a very discouraging hobby. I used to enter 500/600 a day, until I realized the time was not worth the effort. So you win two band aids and a box of cheerios, was it worth the 4000 hours ?? Anymore I just enter the biggies...and I know I'll hit one again someday. Best of luck to you.

I guarantee you, just like every other person has stated after using Roboform for the first time, you won't believe that you've been entering sweepstakes without it. You can enter sweepstakes in a minor fraction of the time it takes you to hand type them in. Probably, about less than 5% of the time it's taking you right now. Except for flash forms, which are few anyway, one click, and you're entered in about two to three seconds.

I guess my question is, why do you enter so many sweeps? I only run about 30-40 a day, that I even consider worth entering, no more than about 15 minutes of time. I won a snowboard this year, I'm thankful for that. As is all sweepers' goal - to hit it big. I wish you the best of luck! :sunny:

I can see why you would enter so many with the broad age range of your children. I have read that entering the Blog sweeps you have a better chance of success - but seem like much smaller prizes.

I enter as many as I do, because that's how many I find with prizes I want, can use, and/or need. We have four children (ages 2, 5, 15, and 16), we have a house, we have a yard, we like to travel, etc. There are so many sweepstakes with prizes that target people like us. Plus, it works itself out to a lucrative income.

I enter so many because I have 2 kids with significant others, a husband, 2 grandkids, a nephew, and siblings (not to mention a cat). I love to share prizes and give people "gifts". I also love to travel.. I have MS so I don't work outside the home (I take care of my grand daughters) so I like to feel like I'm contributing to the family. I've got a wonderful husband who is a great caregiver and puts up with me. I'd love to win something wonderful for him!

I just cannot find 600 sweeps a day that I want to enter. It's not that I have everything I want... it's just that so much of the stuff is completely useless to me. And the trips- well unless they come with cash included, I really can't afford to take them. I enter for things I can give as gifts of course but still, I cannot find 600 a day.

You accumulate that many over a period of time. Some sweepstakes don't end for 6+ months, 1+ years, or more. When you've been entering sweepstakes for some years, they can build up to a lot.
