Two months ago I won a J. Crew jacket from Madberries which was listed at $298.00, but when I checked J. Crew's website, the jacket had been marked down to $198.00. I received the jacket about 2 weeks after they notified me of the win. It was a very pretty jacket but they only had one size, which was not my size.
Today, after much procrastinating, I finally took the jacket into J. Crew to see if they would allow me to exchange it for something else in their store. The sales clerk told me I could, but that I would have to accept whatever the marked down price was because I didn't have a receipt. Then the manager walked up and I explained to her that I had won it, that's why I didn't have a receipt. Without any fuss, she gave me a gift card for the full amount of $298.00! What a nice lady.
So if you see something listed on Madberries for J. Crew, just know that even if it's not something you want, if you were to win, you should be able to exchange it in their store.
