Firefox and Bookmarks

I thought I would share my dilemma with folks who would understand my pain and horror. :cry:

When I check the new sweeps listings I bookmark any sweeps I plan to enter only once into a special folder with the expiration date. Then when I have time (hopefully before they expire) I enter them. I hadn't had much time to enter them lately, so I had several hundred sweeps bookmarked in the folder.

Today after going through my sweeping routine, I notice my Bookmark folder for Single Entries is missing. :scratch: I looked in the trash bin but couldn't find the folder. I was sick. All my LuckyMag sweeps were in there and who knows what other good sweeps were in there. It would be a real chore to try to recreate. So then I tried shutting the computer down and restarting (usually fixes odd problems), but no luck there.

Thankfully I use Firefox. I had no idea they backed up my bookmarks for me.

So if anyone runs into the same problem, it's pretty easy to restore them in Firefox. :cheers:

What I do for the one entries I plan to enter later is I have a category in Plus called "to do later" and put all the one entries, whether it be regular ones, dvd's, cd, or books, into it. Then each day when going thru my sweeps I sort according to exp date and enter whatever is ending in the next few weeks. I try to keep at least a week to 2 weeks ahead in case they end early.
 
:wave: AZ Janee - PLUS is *perfect* for this! I get bookmarking, I really do - but I agree with what judge said:

I agree, it would be easier to do put them in a custom tab here.
I just changed sweeps sites though and my old sweep site didn't have the same organization (plus they went offline quite a bit) so I have my sweeps set up as passcards/bookmarks. I also didn't find Sweepstake Plus until after I started putting sweeps into My Sweeps.
So all my sweeps are scattered in different places. :crazytongue:
I figured I would save myself the headache of trying to reorganize until after the first of the year. I'm just too busy with all these sweeps coming through :sunny:

It's been a real challenge lately, but I'm super happy with this site and would like to send a shout out to everyone who makes this site what it is - Thank You - Thank You - I wish I switched a long time ago

Oh....I found the folder...it moved to another folder and I didn't see it :scratch: this computers touchpad makes me nuts :)
 
Same here - came from an iffy site, so bookmarking is 2nd nature for me too. :whistle:

I just went thru & cleaned up my IW's yesterday - it took less time than I thought it would, but if you haven't yet set up the categories, then yeah, that will take time, trying to figure out what works best.
