I finally won something - and something big! I started sweeping again around labor day. I haven't really won anything since - except a $6.00 subway card and I did win $25.00 (25,000 points from the Sears shopyourwayrewards sweepstakes). My mother in law got me started in sweeping like 20 years ago - when there was no internet really - and everything had to be mailed in - she did a lot more than me and spends a lot on postage. I started seriously entering on a daily basis again (mostly online) after many years - and I FINALLY won AN IPAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited - that's what I really wanted to win. Funny thing is though, is that I won it from my local newspaper. It wasn't from all these dailies that I have been entering for 3 months!
They had a call in - 1 time only and 4 winners would be drawn today. And I almost missed it. I had my house phone and answering machine's volumes turned off (because hubbie works nights and I was in and out) - and I noticed that they called but didn't leave message. I even said to myself, "Oh great, after I entered that contest they are going to start calling all the time again to get us to subscribe". So then I noticed that they called a 2nd time and didn't leave a message again - I then realized, OH MY - the rules said that they would attempt to call on Dec 10th and not leave a message!!! And I realized that it was December 10th!!! I was able to call back and find out that YES, that is why they were calling! LOL I was one of the winners!
Sorry for the long story - I am just a tad bit excited!
And I'd like to say thanks to everyone here for posting their wins- it is very encouraging to "hang in there" and keep entering when we all hit dry spells! Do you all feel the same way?
