So for the past 2 months I have been entering religiousely all the sweeps I can from SA..daily, instant, one entry and FB. I am soo down. No wins!!!! How long did it take to win something when you first started? :cry:
 
Just keep trying we all go through this entering all day and not winning but eve

Dont get too discouraged (easier said than done, I know :sunny:) I did the same thing, only won 1 prize (which never even came) and slowed down sweeping a bit so I didnt get burned out. It wasnt until after about 6 months I started winning- a couple times a week too! Now it's slowed down again, but I will ride the wave, because it is so worth it! Good luck!
 
The wins will come if you stick with it. I enter about the same amount, religiously, 7 days a week, for the past 2 years, and I've gone on a dry spell of 6 months with little more than a few $25 gift cards and t-shirts. I just didn't quit and won a car, 2 trips, and a lot more this summer. If I gave up during the dry spell, I wouldn't have any of that. It doesn't mean it will happen for you, but it is possible. It is also pure luck mixed in with a little dedication. I tell my friends that want to start entering(because they've seen what I've won)...don't expect anything for months...or more. If it was that easy, 10x the number of people would do it. It's conceivable that you can enter every sweepstakes for years but just not have your name drawn due to the sheer volume of people entering. My only advice is dedicate as much time as your willing to lose if you don't win, think of it as giving up the time for a chance to win, and at the same time stay as consistent and dedicated as you can. The only thing you're guaranteed is a chance and the only thing you can control is consistency.
 
If you have only been entering for 2 months it is too early to be discouraged. You must remember that until the sweeps is over they don't draw a winner (there are exceptions but for the most part no winners until the end). Then it can take several days to several months before the winner is notified or prize sent out (if it is one where the prize just shows up at your door). Even after you are informed of a win it can be weeks or months until you get your win. I would imagine a lot of the sweeps you have been entering are not even over yet so you, nor anyone else, can win yet. Just be consistent, persistent and patient! Your time will come ... it really really will, and probably when you least expect it! Just enter and forget it ... don't obsess on not winning or even the possibility of winning ... just fill out the form and move on. You will drive yourself nuts if you obsess! Good luck! Remember, it is all luck and your time will come! It is a matter of timing on IW's but you must be lucky to hit the right time to enter. Don't give up!!!
 
I enter about the same amount and have been doing so for several years. I average at least 6 wins a month. anything from free product and free coupons and gift cards. Some sweeps notify you 6 months after they are over that you have won. Biggest wins have been some $250 dollar gift cards and an awesome basketball goal for my grandkids from Coke Sweepstakes. Keep sweeping and it will happen.

Some see sweeping as a zero sum game, where if I win, you lose, but I view it a bit differently - opportunities abound for those willing to commit the time & energy, and while it doesn't give a return equal to our input, if we are consistent, persistent, and patient, the possibilities are endless!!!


Did you start sweeping convinced that you *would* win?

I ask because I'm convinced a good/positive attitude is essential for a sweeper.

I know I about went nuts my first 6 months seeing people winning left and right, sometimes the same people over and over for specific IW's, and I couldn't hit a thing. I allowed myself to get bitter and suspicious, which almost ruined sweeping for me.

When I finally realized it was all in the timing/luck of the draw, my attitude changed, I stopped looking inward and looked outward, helping others where I could, and I finally won! It was on an IW where you wrote a review, and someone asked if we'd help her family owned business. My focus was so intently on helping her out, I was shocked when it said congratulations!!!

This experience changed my attitude, and saved my hobby - and I came up with:

The Sweeper's Credo:

Enter and forget it.

Always be happy for those who win - even when they win "your" prize - and be positive you will win.

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win.

If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!!

I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

So hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - and you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!
