Email Address/Passwords Hacked - Sony Pictures

I don't remember, and even if they did? I ALWAYS go to the source, from MY bookmark - I do not click email links unless I request an email
Just log into any site you are worried about and request a password change :sunny:

I always use my link through favorites/bookmarks. I also try to report any suspicious (phish) email.
I know my bank's report address and you can try either [email protected] or [email protected] if you suspect it phishing exp. Bank of America is [email protected]. Chase is [email protected] xxx=name of company

This (hacking) is what makes lots of people leery of entering sweeps at sites that want a password.

According to all the scam/spam emails I've received in the past few days I'm now a billionaire! :laughing: :crazytongue: :laughing:
Seriously though...how concerned should I be? I admit I became a little lax and used my sweeps email and password with a few places I've ordered stuff from before, but have already changed all that with each site.
One guy I know got the email from Amazon and when he changed his password he checked his orders and someone had ordered a bunch of stuff on his account the night before...what a nightmare!

Just received this email from SONY Pictures Webmaster:
"On June 2, 2011, we learned we were the target of a cyberattack when a hacker claimed that he had recently broken into sonypictures.com. Upon learning of this cyberattack, our team retained outside experts to conduct an investigation and forensic analysis. In addition, we promptly took offline all potentially affected databases containing personally identifiable information and contacted the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation. We are working with the FBI to assist in the identification of those responsible for this crime.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we work to resolve these issues quickly and efficiently.
We are continuing to investigate the details of this cyberattack; however, we believe that one or more unauthorized persons may have obtained some or all of the following information that you may have provided to us in connection with certain promotions or sweepstakes: name, address, email address, telephone number, gender, date of birth, and website password and user name.
For your security, we encourage you to be aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information.
