Does Anyone Understand the New "efilmcritic" rules?
I try very hard to follow rules, but these new ones (include 5 comments in email) have me confused! I wrote to the guy who has the contests (Erik) and asked for clarification when they added this rule, and I thought I got it. But I got an email this week scolding me for doing it wrong (which I guess means I won and was disqualified). I tried replying to the email but no response so far.
Does anyone know what we are supposed to do? Is the idea that we can only enter a new contest after we have 5 brand new comments? Erik's answer to my original inquiry was that I could use old comments (at least that's what I understood). I thought they were just trying to weed out the non-commenters, but I close to 200 comments on the site (I really like visiting there and reading their reviews.)
So, if they are trying to keep folks from entering all (or most) contests by having this new rule, I get it and I totally can handle that. But, if I misunderstand this rule and am therefore reducing my chances, that would kinda suck.
In the past, I've won from them at least 3 times (maybe 4) - all very cool DVDs. I like how they have so many unusual ones to enter, rather than just the popular ones.
Anyone who has figured this out, please let me know! Thanks so much.
