Discount travel sites

I was wondering if any of you have ever used kayak.com to find cheap hotel rates. We will be in Orlando in May and I checked out the site. Some of the prices seem almost to good to be true. Usually if something sounds to good to be true - it is. There are four of us so even though I may have to whip out the credit card to get something nice, I want to make sure we have enough room to be comfortable and not on top of each other for three nights. I looked at several that are close to Universla and Sea World so now I need to find some coupon codes for those parks.

We purchase one or two www.entertainment.com coupon books each year. Besides all the restaurant, retail, etc., coupons, we get discounted hotel rates. There's two options, 20% or 50% off, depending on the hotel. We stay at the Best Western in Kissimme for about $32.00/night. They also have rebates depending on the amount of days you stay. We got a $100 rebate on ours. In the end, two weeks cost us about 500 and some odd dollars for the whole stay. They also have coupons for Universal ($8.00 of per ticket, the best I could find). Forget about Disney. They don't budge. Your best bet is to get something like a 2- or 3-day, 2- or 3-park package.

Are you planning on going to Universal?

Is it going to be 2 adults and 2 kids? The reason I was asking is that when we went we rented a pool house for $100.00 a night and split it with my parents. It cost $50.00 a night that way and we had a full kitchen/ 3 bedrooms/2 baths, washer and dryer and of course the swimming pool! It was wonderful!!

Ping: how did you find that? The one that I called on today ended up being a time share :cussing: :cussing: Good Lord I would rather chew my arm off than deal with those time share salesmen!!!!! Let me know cause that sounds great. What about travel though? I suppose you rented a car. I didn't even think about the entertainment books. I have two of them right now. I will check it out to see what I can get. Disney???????? No way, been there, done that, stood in the lines, don't want to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sea World and Universal is my aim! Can't wait

The best time to go is the end of January. During the week, there's not much of any lines; and you can also do the fast pass thing.

I'm looking for my information for where we stayed ~ it was wonderful! I would come home everynight and wash all the clothes that we had worn that day while the kids were in the pool and when I got home I just unpacked most of the clothes back into our rooms and was DONE!!!

We would eat breakfast every morning at the house and then because we were out all day we would eat out something light for lunch and then something nice for dinner ~ usually like Cracker Barrel so everyone could get something they liked.

We did the Universal passes ~ they are good for 2 weeks and they are good for both Universal parks, Sea World, Wet and Wild waterpark and you can even get Busch Garden on there. Here is the link to it ~ http://www.universalorlando.com/tic_multi_park.html

We picked this one

You will enjoy unlimited admission to four great theme parks for 14 consecutive days:

Universal Studios
Universal's Islands of Adventure
SeaWorld
Wet ‘n Wild

Please Note: Choose this ticket if you are visiting our parks ON or BEFORE February 29, 2008. Adult
$194.95

Child
$160.95

I know that is sounds expensive, but that was the main reason that we were going was to go to both Universal parks and Sea World. When we did all the math on all the other tickets this was our best option all the way around.

Still looking for the houses ~ will let you know!

Here are some links ~ make sure to stay in the featured houses and away from the premiere and executive unless you really want to jack the prices.

Here are a few to start with ~ it is really easy to find them and there are so many more! Just search under vacation rental homes in Orlando or Disney pool houses or Orlando vacation rentals ~ I didn't even start in Kissimmee ~ prices should be at their lowest right now so you should be able to get a really good deal!

I don't book my travels online but, I hope you have a wonderful time and find a great deal. My mom uses priceline (I think) most of the time for bookings. I usually stay in the safest, cleanest and yet the cheapest available lol.

We didn't book online either ~ I found the place and then booked by calling the person. I have this thing about talking to a real person ~ I just about have to talk to them. I loved it for $50.00 though it was a good value for our family!!
