Hello Everyone and Happy New Year.

I was just wondering how everyone does the one entry sweeps, as soon as they are posted, in the middle or toward the end of the sweepstakes? I have been doing them at the beginning, then remembered in the past when I moved and hadn't entered for a few months, I started back up with the expiring ones and I won more. Just curious how everyone else deals with them.

Also, do you ever enter a Sweepstakes where you hope you do not win the grand prize because you want the first or second prize? I do not enter for trips unless they offer cash to go with it. Cannot afford to go. So I bypass most of the sweepstakes that offer a trip as their grand prize even though I would like the first prize. Would hate to have to turn down a Grand Prize since I have never won one.

Everyday, after I finish entering my daily's, I go through the newly posted sweeps from the day before since the list is complete by then. I enter all the 1x sweepstakes that I'm interested in; and enter and save the daily's, weekly's, and monthly's that I'm interested in.

I do enter sweeps where there may be only one or more prizes I'm interested in and some that I'm not. We do take all the trips we win. Most of it is paid for. So, it's like a very cheap vacation with most costs covered; and there's always ways of cutting down out-of-pocket expenses to next to nothing by using sites like www.restaurant.com, using coupons, etc.
 
I tend to switch when I enter them. Sometimes I just enter them all right away if I know I'll be busy and might not get them entered in time if I don't, other times I save the ones I'm interested in and enter them either towards the middle or end of the contest. I think I tend to win a bit more often when I enter towards the end or middle of the contest but I've won from the beginning also (I don't really keep track that much though unless it's one I know I just entered).

I sometimes enter sweeps where I don't want the grand prize but usually only if they have a lot of smaller prizes that I'd want. Otherwise I try to only enter for things I'm interested in.
 
I don't bother with them until they are expiring, this way I can concentrate on the dailies and instants. :headbang:
 
I enter them when they are posted. I dont enter for trips either since I dont fly but if they have first or second prizes I like I enter.
 
As far as when you enter, it doesn't have any effect on your odds of winning. The entries are just randomized, and all entries have an equal chance of winning no matter when they were submitted.
