changing email addresses

I have been thinking for some time I should change my email address. I just don't think the word "addict" is good to have on a sweeps address. There have been a couple that wouldn't accept the word. They obviously don't know what hostas are LOL! What do u think? Most importantly, how on earth do I change it while in the middle of couple hundred sweeps that I do daily? Will I have to keep dual accounts for the rest of the year since some sweeps don't end till December? I have some sweeps in folders in my inbox and some stored on sites. It just sounds like would be a real mess to deal with for the rest of the year but I really think I need to have different address. I doubt I could re-register for each sweep under a new email addy as my name and address would be the same and maybe that would DQ me as would look like I was trying to enter under two different email addresses. Thought someone here must have had to change email addys and wondered how you did it. thanks for your input!
 
:sunny: I personally don't take any offense to your name. It's not inappropriate. But if you decide you want to change it, you would have to go in to your profile on each site and change it. Luckily not all make you set up an account. To me it would be more trouble than it's worth.
 
Thanks for your reply. If after entering for several months under one email addy and then changing it, do you think the sweeps administrators would think I was trying to use dual addresses to enter. Do they go back and check if they pull your name?
 
I am sure not all check for your name but it is possible they would if you were pulled as a winner and they would likely DQ. It's really up to you what you to switch addresses but I would stick with using the old one for those you have used it before. And yes you might have to keep checking the old one until all the current ones expire. It's a pain but probably the safest way.

I had the same issue when I moved....I've thought about using my parent's address for sweeping (as it's more permanent) but i don't want them to have to deal with the junk mail that comes a long with this hobby!
 
My husband changed his email address and he (or me!) just enters the brand new ones with the new email address and the old ones with the old email. Yes, you'd have to keep/check the old addresses for quite awhile, in case you get win notifications.

I've often wondered the same thing though. If you enter a sweep with a different email on a different day (as opposed to entering one a sweep with both emails on the same day), is that cause for DQ?
 
Changing addy's is ok but be sure to read the rules when you and someone else is entering the same sweeps. Sometimes it is best when one gets done to clear the cookies. Just read the rules and make notes which are safe to enter. As was stated just enter all the old ones using the same address etc and all the new ones with the new one.

I've currently done this with a couple of sweeps. All of my info has stayed the same minus my email. I switched from a yahoo email addy to a gmail email addy. I don't see how they could DQ me, really. I enter once a day like I'm allowed, same address and phone #, just different email addy now.
