cant get motivated to enter

I do my instants. I might do my dailys but the last week or so its been kinda hit and miss. Im just not feeling it ya know. I dont know what happened. I need to get back into my schedule of entering. anyone else sweeping less? Im still in the forums of course :laughing:
 
I am in the forums alot but I enter my 100 sweeps and keep it around there :laughing:

yep, I feel like that towards the end of the week. Just take a day off, and then you will miss it, and you will come back and do a bunch.

Thats what I do.
 
:sunny: Don't feel bad about it. I go thru the same thing. When that happens I just quit entering some of the more tedious ones until I feel like getting back on schedule again. If you aren't having fun doing it then it's time to lay off for awhile. :headbang:
Just don't go away from the forum as we all would surely miss you! :cheers:
 
hi momma of 3.... it's wierd.. I've been feeling the same way 2.... am i lazy? am i getting discouraged? am i bored with it? and only after a year entering my 1st sweep... I dunno, but i feel your pain girl.... maybe because i haven't won as much as i'd like to of... i dunno... i'll just keep entering when i see something i really wanna win... Good luck with 2day's sweeps...
 
I too got burned out. So I still enter the Instants and a few dailys but those one timers, I let a lot go. In three years of sweeping, I have never won won of those so I figured I would just enter the instants and the dailys. It is so much easier and I still win about the same amount. There are so many people sweeping now that it is difficult to stay motivated because you don't win as much. I also cut out those instants that only have a few prizes. Like that gasoline card one that recently started . 35 prizes????? there are probably 200,000 people playing and you only have 35 prizes? i figure my chances of winning those are mighty small and probably not at all. Hang in there. Remember it is a hobby, not a job and when it is not fun anymore, take a vacation form it for a while.
 
I have an idea! Everyone should take a two month break from sweeping! That way, Wolfie can win! :laughing:

We all go through these times. I am just coming out of a two month entering slump. Nothing like a few good wins to motivate my butt! :laughing: Seriously, with my work schedule in the summer months, entering is more of a chore than a fun diversion. When these times hit, I try to make sure I hit the expirings every day. It doesn't really do much for the winning, but I feel like I have entered and it doesn't take a lot of time.

Another time saver, if you are from the US, go to the home page and click on Canada and UK only. Click all of those as we can't enter. Then, you don't have to look at them during expiring.

I think I figured out my problem. I took a serious look at mysweeps and I have between dailys,instants,24 hr, weekly, monthly, unlimited and odd a total of 672 sweeps. omg!!! no wonder im getting burned out. 18 pages of dailys, 8 pages of instants. thats alot of entering to be done. Im going to start narrowing them down. do I really need to enter for every dvd I might like to watch? no! Im going to go thru my dailys and start getting rid of some stuff. maybe seeing 18 pages is just getting me down. im going to get it under 10 pages. I hope.
 
holy molyyyyyyyyyy.... how in the h### do you have time or even the patience to enter soooo many? Wow,.... hats off 2 you girl.... i guess the reason i'm not winning even a quater of what you all are is because under "mysweeps" it says 38. lol...
 
it's been like that for me the past month (with the dailies) i do my instants everyday, but dailies, just a couple times a week lately. maybe because its the summer and i'd rather be outside,
during the wintertime, i'm stuck inside, so i sweep more during the winter.
but, i know what you mean, i'm just not feeling it as much this past month.
hang in there, you'll feel your groove soon, and hopefully me too.
 
I'm kind of feeling the same way. There are some with sooooo many prizes (dailies for example) and I feel sure that I'm going to win...then I don't. It's kind of discouraging. I've lately just been entering those with a whole lot of winners, I put them on my favorites, and do them each and every day before I do anything else, and I feel like I've gotten something accomplished. I also haven't had a "big" win in a while...lots of small stuff.

Hang in there - I think it's normal, and it shall pass. Do take a break, it does a world of good.
 
One thing to remember about the ones with many prizes. It takes a long time to pick winners. get the prizes into the warehouse and then ship them. Seriously, I, just yesterday, received a prize from a daily that ended on January 31, 2007. I had no prior notice of the win. That's 6 1/2 months without any idea I had won it.

So, my thoughts are be patient. Sometimes it takes a while! :headbang: :)
 
My health generally dictates what I'm able to accomplish each day, and lately that hasn't been much - I used to stress if I missed a day, now I take at least 1 day a week off from entering so I don't burn out. This week I took off 2 days (Sat & Sun) because I haven't felt up to it - stupid eyes were jumping so bad I wasn't able to focus :nono: :cry:

I also go through and re-evaulate my sweeps when it becomes too time consuming/boring. For instance - I dropped the La Quinta. This always helps to energize me :headbang:

I'm also a bit backwards - once I win, I tend to slack off a bit :crazytongue:
 
After having health problems at the beginning of summer I slacked off bad. I have done instants like 3 times. The 2nd time I did them I won four different little prizes. What did I do? I went 2 more weeks without entering anything. It has seemed a little like a chore so I have been just talking on the forums and checking out other winners. I know that I will get back into the swing soon, but for now I just want to talk to people. Been a little(or lot) depressed and love to talk to all of you guys!!

Entering sweeps is addicting to me. I get in my mind that I've got to get this much done! I have to step back and realize when its not fun anymore. I usually get my fix by entering all the new sweeps for the day, then my repeats as I have time or get burned out. I keep a special set of sweeps in my computer's bookmarks I enter away from my SA time. Much of my fun comes from the basics of learning how to use a computer and finding new worlds. The winning is great, but sometimes is just icing on the cake.
 
very well said, everyone has there limits and the key is to keep it fun rather entering 2 sweeps or as some I know of entering 900+ . Just keep it fun :cheers:

Im fairly new at entering sweeps, but i still try to take breaks here and there. My other half seen the stuff i started winning and now asks everyday when he gets home from work if i had won anything. But the sad thing is HE NEVER ENTERS!! he expects to come home to prizes, yet not help out. Thats when i decided that this is my HOBBY and i should have fun (and only enter for things that I would use :P lol)

I love the one entry. most of my non instant wins have been one entry. Its the daily ones that get me down.
